Okay this might be obscure or really easy, I'm not sure...  remember playing this some years ago when it became freeware, fun and somewhat odd game.

Pretty sure that's from the excellent Book of Unwritten Tales.

Okay since no-one seems to want to take over the mantle for now, here's one from an obvious guess but only a small part of the screen so maybe, just maybe, not quite so obvious (though it probably will be to someone!).

I've done The Apprentice! It'sweet, short and really enjoyable! I loved it, thanks! Had that Monkey Island vibe...

Don't forget to try Apprentice 2 then!  Apparently the third game may still be in production, sort of.

Gave it a whirl last night, loving it so far.  Also fun to hear my voice on one of the answerphone messages - that was a great idea!  (Have to ask - sounded like the Knight of the door's defensive system was probably voiced by you James, was it or was it someone else?)

TROLLS NOT CAVE MEN!!

Jim did a Top Ten list a few years ago.

I've done top ten lists of adventure games and freeware adventure games, but didn't ever do a specific AGS-made games list.

For suggestions, it would help to know about bit more about what kind of adventure game your like - 1st person / 3rd person?  Comedy / mystery / detective / horror?  Fantasy / sci-fi / real-world setting?  Free only or free and commercial?  (There are just SO MANY games made with AGS that it would help to be able to narrow the field down a bit :cheesy:)

Yes, the director of the next Star Wars movie could really use the promotion that only a character in an AGS game can provide!

Do not underestimate the power of the AGS community. 8-)

Glad to hear he's on the mend.  Things like that are a terrible time for families and really put things into perspective.

Fantastic!  So good I asked for a review copy even though I have a current backlog of around 60 review copies to write about! (laugh)

So joold is both on the right track and off-track?!?! :P

Spoiler
Any man = Male?  Out of their prime = Old?  Since there are so few letters in the answer are we looking for initial letters of five words maybe?  "if they did not first accept" = the order of the letters in the word perhaps?

I finally found it on a webpage about obscure Nintendo games (so clearly I cannot now answer!).  To be fair to me it did mention both Galaxians and Galaga in the short description of the game. :-D

Not sure I know many obscure 8-bit shmups!! - only thing I can think of is Galaga.

What's bugging me is that for some reason the ship design rings a bell...

Congrats on the release!  Looks really good.

Mouth FOR war if i may!!!!!!!!! ;D

Don't exactly recognise it but looks like something along the lines of Galaxians, maybe on an Atari 8-bit.
