Indievania is "offline", whatever that means, and links to itch.io. Is anyone using itch?

Yeah I like itch.io, it's dead simple to use and can be used for both commercial and freeware games.  There is a nominal limit of 10 titles per developer but if you want more you can always contact the guy who runs the site.

I so hope the german humor translates well. more caponians plz! :-D

It should be better, it's well known that Germans have no sense of humour and therefore I was silly to ask you!! :P :P :P :P

(Ducks and runs....)

But seriously... yeah, humour is so often linked to clever use of language, so I hope it does translate well.

Finally, the English version of Zak McKraken: Between Time and Space, is going to be released on 12th May 2015!  Been waiting a long time for this one, but it looks like it will have been worth it...

Check out the trailer and screenshots.

This is slasher: between making AGS games, he makes AGS games.

He has found a way to clone himself, at least twice.  It's the only rational answer.

Fitz - I wasn't sure as I got an email from the guy who's running the new freeware service there inviting me to add my games, but I know him anyway, so he may have only been reaching out to a few of his existing contacts before it all went public.

Matt - PM received!

Also well-reasoned, but incorrect.

Spoiler

What sound do you make when you are being indecisive?
[close]

Spoiler
U?  As in "uh" not "you".

Had otherwise wondered whether "electrically indecisive" might be something about being between P(ositron) and N(eutron), so ... O?  (Although that doesn't really work as a Neutron has no charge.

Matt - drop me a PM or Tweet me and I'll post about your game on my sites, indiegamenews.com and pcgamereviewsandnews.com.

I have also recently been told that indiegamestand.com are starting to feature freeware games as well, although I'm not sure if you can just ask to add your games or need to be invited by their staff.

I don't know if you know about the insane effort Snarky put into revamping the AGS Awards this year but I for one can tell you that he is all about helping the AGS community and that this was obviously just a big misunderstanding...

+1!

Still one warning since 2012 isn't too bad eh

It almost sounds like you're not trying... :P

I'm not a mod so I can only put my point of view - but you've been around the site quite a while, posted about a lot of adventure games (sure, with links to your site, but why not?) - but perhaps more importantly, you've helped to promote a lot of AGS-made games with your site.  The last two games both being based on Futurama and looking quite similar (at first glance) maybe muddled the issue slightly.  I'm sure this can be resolved amicably though :).

Upon reading Retro Gamer's Amiga special magazine, there was an article on Monkey Island; and Ron said they didn't have a  they just had an idea of where they were going with it and wrote it on the spot. They said you couldn't do that today.

I disagree, this is pretty much what I do!

Although... whilst I am useless at designing the whole thing from scratch, I tend to make design documents for small sections of the game.  It certainly helps to map things out and keep tabs of everything, else continuity conflicts are extremely difficult to avoid.

Congrats on the release!  I have to say that your graphics style is one of the most striking I've ever seen (not just in AGS games... in ANY game).
#3197
Might make time to play this... after watching the movie again. Saw it year ago.  Not sure if my 4 year-old will like it (time to find out!)

Congrats on the release, it looks really great.

Congrats Nicky!

3 games in the time it's taken me to do one... and I haven't finished that one yet...(roll)

So this is going to be released whenever Beyond Good And Evil 2 gets released, huh?
