Updates:

For those interested in The Slaughter, that's now passed its funding goal.

Jason the Greek is almost 80% there but less than 3 days remain:

Sadly, Her Majesty's Spiffing isn't doing too well.  Less than 25% of their funding goal so far with 4 days to go.  They do have a much bigger funding target though.

Thanks Atelier!

Also remember, Emont did some of the music for Eternal Chrysalis, so he's also a MAGS winner! :-D
#4125
We seem to have developed an unwritten rule that the previous month's winner should pick the next PotM!
#4126
Hey Abisso - thanks for your very accurate comment on Eternal Chrysalis on the games page!  You hit on basically all the things we would have liked to do better but couldn't do due to the time constraint.  (Hopefully if we ever do released an expanded version of the game you'll approve :-D).  The storyline in particular ended up being massively different to the original idea just so we could actually get the game finished.  We'll definitely add some more difficult puzzles too!

AGS Games in Production / Re: King's quest 4

That's about the saddest thing I've ever read on the AGS boards.  My condolences to all Karen's family and friends.
#4128
Hi Jaineshon!  Welcome to the boards, hope you enjoy it here and that we manage to help you find the motivation to make a finished game. ;-D
#4129
Are you also going to add the game to the AGS games page?  (After you have a demo, presumably. :-D)

There's already characters from other games, also real life celebrities!

Oh yeah.. The HOFF!

Congrats KB!  I know it's been a long journey for you to get to this point - game looks awesome. :cheesy:

Reality-on-the-Norm / RON Crossovers?
Sat 07/12/2013 14:32:37
Just an idle thought... I had the germ of an idea in my mind for a game in which Captain Disaster crash-lands on RON.  Would it be sacrilege to introduce a character from another series into a RON game?
#4133
Sadly I won't be able to make it. :~(

But you guys and gals all have a great time!  :-D 8-)

Sane / Ghost - I had a similar idea but didn't really know if it would go round too well.  I think it may have to be a private arrangement done by PM on in a separate group or something as otherwise people might get upset because games are being publicly advertised for rates...?  Don't know if I'm being paranoid but you know the capacity of some people to get annoyed by things done in perfect innocence.

My idea was for someone to nominate a couple of games, everyone tries to play them and nominate them, once both games have an overall rating the next person chooses a couple of games and so on.  If 10 people were actively involved in doing this we could reduce the number of unrated games pretty quickly.

Completed Game Announcements / Re: Magic Owl

Hi Ermont

Congrats on your first release! It was a nice experience, I think my little girl will love this - she loves both owls and music, so it's a winning combination! :cheesy:  Loved the way the different sounds and melodies were implemented.

(Also, thanks for providing some great tracks for our MAGS game.)

This was done not long ago.

Not THAT recently - April 2013 - and I wasn't suggesting that I was doing anything new or innovative here - just thought it was time to bring the subject up again.

We have 1,741 games in the database (unless someone snuck another one in when I wasn't looking ) - 841 of those have received less than 5 ratings, so don't have any overall ratings.  Let's try to do something about this!

Check the NOT VERY RATED list, pick one or more games, play them and give them a rating.  Let's try to give more developers feedback on how much we liked their games! (nod)

Come on, you know you want to...

Okay, I think I may have got them all...

White, as it would be a polar bear since you're at the North Pole?  (Really embarrassed if it's the South Pole and I've managed to work it out completely wrong!! :-[)

You have two apples - as this is what you have taken.  (Obviously the tendency would be to do the math and subtract 3 from 2, but that isn't actually the question. :-D)

I think this is in the sentence construction.  "I went to bed at eight o'clock in the evening and I wound up my clock to set the alarm..." - this seems to imply two separate actions.  Whilst at first glance it seems that you would be setting the alarm at 8pm, thus meaning 13 hours before the alarm goes off, I think the sentence structure actually implies that you set the alarm when you woke up at 9am - thus my answer is 24 hours.

Was I right, doc?  Was I, was I?

I take it the obvious answers to 2 and 3 are not the answers being looked for?!

I'm thinking 1 might be something to do with

being at one of the poles
