@Oldschool - thanks, I've wanted to take part in a MAGS for ages, even though I think the idea of making an adventure game in a single month is complete madness. :-)

BTW we have a title for our game now - Eternal Chrysalis.

Without saying too much, the plot involves ancient Egyptians and time travel.

Don't be too alarmed, but there is a fairly good chance that Selmiak and myself will be teaming up for this one.  If I don't post anything else, you can take it that the whole idea fell through!

Hmm.. I've rarely seen a post I disagree with more!  (Other than the obvious that there is not "perfect puzzle".)  Well, when I say disagree, obviously I don't disagree with what you say about how you feel - just that my own love of adventure games started about the same time as yours and has never really diminished - in fact I'd say it's grown over the last few years.  The line between puzzles being too easy or too obscure / illogical is of course a difficult one to master, but if an adventure game has a good mix of puzzles as Ascovel said along with a good storyline, it's easy to forgive the odd puzzle being easy or not making much sense.  That's just the joy of games players I guess - we're all different!

Haven't really played many isometric games since Head Over Heels on the 8 and 16-bits... your game is looking ever more interesting!

Not wishing to be insulting (of course), but looking at your avatar, your face is too scary for anyone to contemplate kissing, so as for the other end...
