Richie lives!  :-D

Looks pretty good to me.  There seems to be just a tiny "jerking" effect but I couldn't tell you why exactly - I'll leave that to someone with more talent!

To me there should be a tiny amount of movement in the as he walks.

Captain Disaster!!

No seriously... now in production with the help of a talented programmer / artist, way back in the time of the EZ Boards I tried to make something myself and failed utterly miserable.  (I'd also quite like to actually make my "Life of Death" RON game but that's no likely to happen anytime soon.)

Did I mention Purity of the Surf 2?!  :P

Purity Of The Surf II (I didn't even know this was an option! Thanks, CaptainD)

Well, it's only an option in my head really...  8-0

I'd like to see a remastered Rob Blanc game with improved versions of all three games put into one long game with better graphics, more puzzles and dialogues, a full voice pack and high quality music.  Of course that isn't going to happen, but still... it would be nice!

Also, not quite what you meant I know, I'd like Dave Gilbert to make another RON game - preferably a follow up to Purity of the Surf, my all-time favourite RON game.  :-D  (Again, I know it isn't going to happen...)

The fish seems smaller and the sea bigger every day, even though we've had some nice mentions in the online gaming press.  Hopefully we'll get a bit more interest when the demo comes out.

It is coming soon, we just keep adding more to it.  I'd rather see it take longer and be better than rush the release.  The game now features far more puzzles and characters than originally envisioned!

Downloaded!  When I've got the demo of my own game released I'll definitely take a look at this one.  Can't have too many science fiction adventure games!  (laugh)

I'll see how my Spanish is these days... can you play with Spanish speech and English subtitles?

Wow, your fundraiser has done really well - congrats!  :-D

Hmm... along with that there are a couple of other ideas floating around in my head.

Now this has given me an idea - what about if ALL the things you could get in a fund-raising campaign are actually extra in-game features?  Using a fundraiser for pre-orders is great in one way, but you know, when we release our game we would like to actually think that it would sell well - which wouldn't be the case if most people who were interested had effectively pre-ordered the game.

The downside of my idea would of course be that the more successful the fundraiser was, the longer it would take the game to actually be developed!  Then again it would also be a bigger game, if not entirely 100% adventure-game oriented.

The ideas so far are of a museum with artifacts that you could name and give a backstory to, with a plaque of your name next to it.  My idea (which doesn't seem to have caused much reaction!) to do a science fiction quiz and people set the questions is another, and I was also thinking along the lines of a Hall or Fame / Prisoner's Row, where we use a digitised version of your mug-shot, alienise it, and use your name as the basis for the character.

IF we did this, should these features only become available after you complete the game?  Be in the game itself?  Be extras you can access independently of the game?

I've seen very little mentioned anywhere about Deep Silver's game Lost Horizon.  I just wondered if anyone else on the boards here are fans of the game - to me they got pretty much everything right about the game (the only criticism I could really level at it is that's it's a bit too easy); Secret Files 1 & 2 had major faults (illogical puzzles, terrible voice acting - at least in the English version), but both of these were corrected in Lost Horizon.  I have to admit that the main character who seemed like a cross between Indiana Jones and Jake Cutter did appeal to me too!

So, yeah... anyone else love it (or not)?  I just feel it's a shame that this game (to me definitely one of the best adventure games in the 21st century) seems to have gone largely unnoticed.

Not really my genre but as always your graphics look very impressive.  Congrats on another release from the Midian Design stable!

Gah I hadn't noticed that this was in the Completed Games section now...

It looks absolutely charming.  Congrats on the release.  I do hope the Rating P for Pudding won't affect players' waistlines too much though?

Man your output is relentless.  Are you absolutely sure you're not a room full of infinite monkeys?

Hey Steptoe, congrats on the release! :)

I'll try to find time to check this out soon.  What I like about it is that you seem to be trying a different style of game to what we usually see here.

Museum Idea is fantastic... Seriously!

Hmm... seems a popular idea!

A slightly related possibility is that I was thinking of doing a Captain Disaster sci-fi quiz game later on and releasing it as freeware.  What about for a small donation you set one of the questions and it appears as an optional extra feature in the game itself?  Would there be any interest in that?

I think along with both ideas would be a special thanks in the game credits.

So, the game is going to be released soon? ;-D  This looks better and better...

I like the plot and screenshots already, this is looking great so far!  The music in the trailer's pretty good too, is that going to be in the game or is it just for the trailer?

Good to hear that some people like the "museum" idea.  It's the sort of thing I'd be more inclined to want to do - I'm not entirely comfortable with some aspects of crowd fundraising (and still not convinced it's the right thing for CD), but this sounds eminently doable and quite fun both to create and explore in the game itself.

Beat the ornate safe puzzle - yay!

Stuck now though...

Spoiler
I've moved the arm over to the correct box to get the blueprints, but I think I need to get rid of Johnson for a while so for Bennett to use the archive - perhaps something about telling him Samantha is down in the basement?
