I vote for Big GC - I thought all the entries were really good, but to me that one was the most innovative use of the shape outline.

Well, it may not be in the style of Indiana Jones and the like but every Level scene is a quest to get more sweet stuff with some puzzles along the way to solve. Can Indiana Jones Jump, leap or swim? Potato Head does. :P

Surely the real question is, does Mr Potato Head carry a bullwhip?

Kick Off 2!!!!!  I spent many hours playing that game as a youth, but man did it make me mad with its cheating!  Especially when their keeper was superhuman and our keeper decided to have a nap while the ball rolled slowly in from an impossible angle.

Hmm... interesting, I was thinking the exact opposite - that the freeware version would come first, raise awareness of and interest in the game, and that the "proper" version would then come out a month or so later.

Tomi, are you planning on having the freeware game IDENTICAL in terms of gameplay?  That, to me, would be a bad move.  Not that major swathes of the game should be missing, but apart from having a voice pack etc there should be some extra motivation for people to want to play the full game (as with The Journey Down having extra locations, characters as puzzles as well as better graphics and a voice pack).

Looks like you might win by default anyway CaptainD, no one else entering! Maybe I will extend it...?

No-one likes to win by default, feel free to extend as long as you like!  :P

"Proboscis Major" made me chuckle.  Good luck on development.

Thanks KC!

Though it's not going to be in the demo (which we will hopefully release next week - it's mostly done but needs a few tweaks and a but of bug-testing before we unleash it on an unsuspecting public) - I've been playing around with transporter graphics.  This isn't final (and we may have got a new background artist, who might tidy up my amateurish work at some stage!)

Updated version - I'm much happier with the last few frames now. 8-)

Good decision to have both a freeware and commercial version, even if it means more work for you.

Are you asking me or do you know?

Sort of 95% certain! :-D

Here's the new one - not sure how difficult it will be, somewhat obscure film but a bit of a cult following... featured an early starring performance by one of the Lord of the Rings cast.

Awww man, if there was a Pixar movie fully conceived and directed by Purcel I would DROWN IN HAPPY-ENDORPHINS.

Yah, mad scientists!  Everyone loves mad scientists!  (Well apart from their poor tortured victims obviously).

Definitely count me in on this one.   (laugh)

Cool, I had no idea he was involved with PIXAR at all.

Incidentally if any Sam & Max fans haven't yet seen the animated series, they're very funny and surreal - nothing like the computer games but great nonetheless.  (As far as I know you can still only get them imported as a Region-1 disc.)

I guess we will just have to wait until there is a demo released to prove it!

To be fair I don't exactly have a track record of having released great games (or even any games) in the past, so people are more than likely unsure if this will actually get released - which is fair enough.

But I'll back you up on the not being a Space Quest rip-off, since I've hardly ever played any of the SQ games!!

I've never seen a game that isn't a puzzle platformer look so much like a puzzle platformer.  But we shall see...

I'll cast my vote for the Giant too.  If TellTale Games ever need a stand-in Guybrush, he's ready!

Wow... VERY impressive!  Could almost have been the intro from a Deep Silver game.

Any chance you could throw this up on Youtube of Vimeo sometime?  Can't embed the video from Facebook, I'd like to feature your trailer on my blog.

I think they should start every parenting manual with, "The week that your child cuts his first teeth is going to be the longest, loudest, most sleepless week of your life."

I think that comes in the NHS handbook straight after "No-one's quite sure what causes Colic and it may be upsetting when your baby cries constantly for no apparent reason, but don't worry, it usually doesn't last more than a few weeks" - !!!  Man that sentence was upsetting.  :-X

How could you  :~(

Sorry, I'll see if I can smuggle him in somewhere!

Sounds mindbogglingly, nitwittyly good  ;)

Hmm, I think you've just invented a new word.  "Nitwittyly"... just rolls of the tongue, doesn't it?!   (roll)
