Unfortunately, those ages come and go much faster nowadays, so let's not waste any time, while we can make adventure games reclaim the world again.

But why does this golden age have to end at all?

I got that same pack on Steam recently - just completed Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis, now playing Loom.  The Dig was a fine adventure game, really great atmosphere.  Looking forward to reliving my childhood when I get to Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade!!  ;D

I guess it wasn't called "The Golden Age" for nothing, though I'd argue that we're currently at the beginning of a second golden age of adventure gaming...  8)

That's some weak nostalgia most of you guys have, if it requires actually great games to make you feel nostalgic.

Yup... personally, anything that reminds me of the 8 or 16 bit days gets me all nostalgic!!

I vote for Monkey's "The Totally True Tale of Ben304" - only partially because it's totally true.

Hey, all 3 of us mention Ponch?!  :o

I've done my first interview as an "indie game developer", thanks to CaptainD!

Does that make me a "real blogger"?  ;D

I want to enter too unless I'm too late!

my email is nloprinzi AT casinternet DOT net

I put your entry in the hat, but I'm afraid you weren't one of the winners - sorry!

All codes have been emailed out now, if you are one of the winners (check here) then you should have your email already; please PM me here if you have any problems.

If you didn't win... apparently DG sometimes gives out codes on his Twitter feed, so you could try that.  (Dave, if this is wrong let me know - your PR told me!)

Thanks to all who entered, congratulations to those who won, commiserations to those who didn't.   (Insert and ignore platitude such as "to me, you're ALL winners!")

As long as the game is made, no-one will mind.

You can call this one the "Retro Classic Golden Era Edition", and when you later make the game as you originally intended, call it the "Special Remixed Remastered Edition".

HaHa, the Logo reminds of Word Art from Microsoft Office

Hey, show some respect  >:( - WordArt was awesome!!  ;D

(I'm a child of the 80s, I can't help it...)  ::)

I like the look of this one on several different levels!  ;D

I just wondered if anyone on here used LinkedIn? and if so do you put your AGS work on your profile?

My Profile can be found here:

I'm on it as owner of Indie Game News (even though everyone hates the logo!  :P), so I don't see why not.

Ah rats.  As you know I would offer to voice the character for you, but my voice is not naturally deep enough for it.  (Could I sound like a hoity-toity woman?  Hmm... maybe, if someone was stepping on my toe.  Perhaps better to let someone else do it...)

Rockin!
I have a question. Is this per household or per person? My husband has his own Steam account.

Hadn't really thought about it before, but per person.

Anyway, I happen to really like your lossy blue and red banner Mr CaptainD, sir.  Particularly when I scroll down.  ;D

Well exactly - there's no point having a logo people stare at all the time without looking at what's underneath it.  ::)

I've brought the date forward by a week, so tomorrow is your last day to enter now if you haven't already.  Haven't heard back yet on getting hold of any more than 3 sets of Steam keys...

Oh god their banner hurts to look at oh god the red and the blue and my eeeeyyyyyeesssss

Are you talking about my ever-so-lovely Indie Game News banner?  If so, I need to inform you that everyone says it's lovely and wonderful.  Well, everyone apart from you (and to be honest, you're the first person to express an opinion).

There, you've been told.

I'm not going to comment on what Calin said, it's simply too disturbing...

Um. Hm.  This is the first I've heard of this! I'll have to look into it.

You're kidding me right??!?!?   := You know my email if you want me to tell you my PR source if this is something you need to pursue.   :o :o  I hope I haven't unintentionally opened a very large can of worms here...

Merge Games have snapped up the rights to distribute this - interestingly it will feature 2 extra games by Josh!
