I'm about 3/4s of the way through it, and it has SO many good points--the interface, the graphics, some of the characters--but its constant (and out-of-nowhere) pop culture references and tendency to make fun of itself at the expense of the story are a little grating.

Yeah, they probably overdid it a little bit with the pop culture references, but since most of them made me smile anyway I didn't view that as much of a negative point.  Glad you're enjoying it otherwise!

I'll have to be boring and go for DarkDan's entry too, though all 4 are very good.  It amazes me how you guys come up with some of the stuff...

Also, DarkDan's entry simultaneously reminds me of Andy Capp and one of the enemies in Combat Island from Rainbow Islands.

The eyebrows look a little funny to me, but otherwise it's really, really good.

Although shouldn't James T. be snogging a random female alien (surprisingly human-looking alien)?   Like in... well, every episode of TOS.  8)
