Admittedly there is a difference in the style of the backgrounds, but at the moment that doesn't seem to me that it should really be much of a problem.

You should be able to see...

Spoiler
a photo, unless I'm remembering the wrong part.  When Joey looks at the photo he knows who it is, and when he goes outside, he and Rosa talk about it (can't remember if this happens automatically or not).

Once you've done that bit, try talking to Lisa on the intercom again.

Sorry if this doesn't help, I thought this was the stage of the game this happens in!

OR...

Have you got Jeremy's phone yet?  It's in the trashcan outside Lisa's.  That's an earlier bit to where I thought you were at, the only other thing I can think of at the moment though.

I think it's also important how easy it is for me to actually hand over the cash. I'll happily shell out 2 pound/dollar/euro even for a short game, but then it must take me no more than two mouse-clicks to do so, and I want my product just a minute later.

I hate complicated or binding stuff like "Okay, Customer A, first you buy the game box, then you retrieve the download code, THEN you subscribe to XYZ, send us a small urine sample, tell us about your childhood problems and THEN you may give us your money."

Good point, thought I wouldn't say BMT Micro Orders are quite that bad!  :D

I actually thought I might be the first person to review this game... should have known better!  But I'm likely to say a lot of the same things, really good game.

Really good idea for an adventure game, and I'm liking the background graphics.  ;D

On a similar note, how long would a game have to be for you to pay £2 for it?

Personally if I got a good hour or two out of it, I'd probably think a game was worth a couple of quid.

I'm really enjoying my review copy of Blackwell Deception - I haven't played the earlier games (apart from the freeware version of the very first game), so I can't offer a comparison.  Some really good puzzles, nice graphics, great music and a strong storyline.  So far I'm a little disappointed with the number of inventory object puzzles, but maybe there are more of them later on.

Show me something new dammit!! >:(

I'm refreshing this damn page every day, and now I'm making demands! A cropped 100x100 of something will do! I beg you! :'(

Oh all right then, here's a snippet of dialogue for you...

Mikael: Hello there!
Drunk: Whassup?
Mikael: Had a little too much to drink, have you?
Barman: He’s had his limit.
Barman:  I wouldn’t normally let him get this bad, but there’s been a tragedy.
Mikael: What tragedy?
Barman: You’d better ask him.
Barman: It’s not my place to divulge the secrets and daily activities of my patrons.
Student: That doesn’t normally stop you!
Barman: Student discount is optional, you know.
Student: What?  I didn’t say anything!

Those green trousers sort of distract from the formalness and "special" head-servant position that butlers occupy. Maybe make them grey? Or darker? Or maybe blue?

The combination of colours, clothes and boots would have made me think he was supposed to be a gardener rather than a butler.  Were you going for a bit of a Mr Burns type attitude?  (If so I think you've nailed it!)

Hmm... despite my earlier suggestion, I think I'm also inclined to agree with you.  ;D

Sounds good Nick, probably need to make the hooks a little catchier, maybe "Listen to tomorrow's classics - today!" or "The freshest contemporary classical music on the net (/ in the world / you can get)"?

My review of The Count of Monte Cristo

"But who makes money off the same book still being sold today?"

Hmm...

Downloading!  I haven't played a RON game for ages...
#5235
Love the title!  ;D

Reminds me a little of an old Atari ST game called "Mousetrap".

I don't know... so many really good entries...

I guess I'd have to go for 7.  My runner up would be 4:=

Well done getting your game finished!  I was surprised to see the room count, I thought this was going to be much smaller (well, so did you I guess!  ;D)

I think my first AGS game was Yahtzee's Rob Blanc: Better Days of a Defender of the Universe.

How can I possibly choose only one?!?

Well... Kings Quest 2+ was very cool of course, and I also have very fond memoirs of The Uncertainty Machine.

Hello everybody, I'm here to bring news of a MEGA update in the first post.

I really should get this finished. It's so close!

Listen to this joker.

"Close" is such a relative term...

It'll be worth it when you finish, however long it takes!  (Though sometime before 2015 would be nice...  :P)
