Is it just me or are the background graphics kinda remeniscent of Westwood's classic "Bladerunner"?  Not sure why but something's reminding me of the artwork in that game.

Fantastic background graphics!  With that and the jazz / reggae soundtrack, I think we23 can forgive you for lurking.  ;D

Just letting people know that rapid development has been going on with this game, and beta testing will be started real soon.  8)  More news in the near future...

Looks interesting, I'll definitely check it out when I get some time.

(I have to admit that when I saw the title of your post, my first reaction was "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!" - but after reading about what you've done, I changed my mind and decided that it was probably a good thing!  ;D)

it's not german...quite the opposit-it's hebrew ; ;)

Ah.  Actually German was only my best guess, wasn't quite sure to be honest - but I don't think I'd have realised it was Hebrew!

You can now say that your game is not only artistic but also cultural.  ;D

I think you could make a great short film out of this idea and using the techniques you used for the FMV in the game - any plans to do so?

What's in your inventory and what's your current location?

Living quarters level, I have the three items you start out with and the AI override card.

Hmm... got to room 203, fixed the problem, found the AI doodar, but now seem to be in a dead end and the light beam's not letting me go anywhere else, just telling me to report to room 23.  Bug / something I've not done?  ???

Short but sweet.  The puzzle was logical enough, though the inventory handling seemed odd (I'll elaborate in a PM if I can work out how to describe it!  ::))

Looks good.  With the missing bits filled in and a good Dwarf plot, this will definitely be a game well worth playing.

At the risk of invoking the curse I seem to have on these boards of killing threads  :o :-[, I have to say that I'm liking the look of this one.

PM me if I can help with the plot / dialogue in any way.

Reminds me of those 2-point perspective drawings we had to do in school.  Works pretty well though!

:D Good to know, you're already on those. Apart from that, I got the Red Dwarf feeling, and that's great. Plus you got CaptainD fairly excited. ;)

:o :o

H2G2 filled my comedy sci-fi adventure game yearnings for a while, but now that I've finished that...  ;D

Enjoyed the game overall.  The sprite graphics were excellent, very cartoony - great music - the whole thing was pretty surreal, which I liked, some good (and quite unusual) puzzles - it felt less restrictive than a lot of one-room games as the characters kept changing, good animation, made me laugh quite a few times, hare-brained but interesting plot (the hare-brained bit is also a plus point, btw!)

What I wasn't so keen on - I'm really not a fan of bad language or gross-out humour, so you can guess what parts I wasn't thrilled with!!  :P, and to me the impressionistic background graphics didn't really fit in with the quite detailed sprites.

Possible bugs? - One of the characters didn't show up as a clickable (might have been deliberate - the guy snoozing on the table at the left of the screen), when I tried to throw the honey at the hole in the pipe with steam coming out it just made me walk to a spot - interaction wasn't recognised at all?.  Guy never comes out of the toilet!!!  (Okay, that's probably not a bug...)

The only other thing I thought was that it might be nice to have an inventory item to start with - I spent ages trying to work out how to access my inventory and only realised that it stayed static on the bottom of the screen after I'd actually picked something up.  Maybe it's just me being dense though...  ::)

Interesting idea and amusing development of the murder plot.
