OK, thanks - I'm adding more responses and things at the moment, trying to make sure there aren't any actions you can do that just return silence any more - hopefully I'll be able to add some helpful comments in with these ;)

Looks good so far, apart from the dreaded "i" instead of "I" as a personal pronoun, the writing's pretty impressive - authentic but not simply copying from the show's dialogue.   ;D

Looks good, I look forward to trying it out.

That damn fluff had me stumped for quite a while!

I'm not sure how I'd rate the puzzles - some were brilliant, some were baffling - but that could very well be me being dense!  ;D

Glad you liked the review, even though I had to admit to not loving the game.  One problem is perhaps that I never actually played the original (the shame... but as I said, the text adventure genre as a whole kind of skipped by me at the time).  If it's any help I found the original King's Quest really annoying too!  ;)

H2G2 is a fantastic achievement and being difficult isn't particularly a bad thing, but you made me kill Arthur Dent a lot of times... and I like Arthur  ::)

Did... someone... say... a Reality-on-the-Norm  game?!?  ;D ;D

Looks good, downloaded and in the queue... (right behind H2G2!).

This is an old (2007 anyway) Ron game Capt.

Gah, I didn't notice the date...  :-X

Gah, you wait 2.5 years then choose to release the game on the very day I go on holiday for 2 weeks!!  :o ::)

Great game, I really enjoyed this one.

The intro biographies kinda reminded me of Shufflepuck Cafe (definitely a good thing!)  8)

Looks very cool  Is it just me, or are there more non-adventure AGS games being made these days?  8)

just wondering if anyone has had a chance to play the demo yet and their thoughts?

I've only had a short time to test it, but I posted my thoughts on my blog - http://captaind-pc-gaming.blogspot.com/2010/04/first-thoughts-star-trek-year-one-arena.html

Basically I like the fact that you can play three different characters, the atmosphere of the game is very good, and the graphics are good.  I think the dialogue and animation still need a little work though.  I'm not overly keen on adventure games that can give you a "Game Over" in the first few minutes of gameplay, though I understand the need for creating a sense of urgency in some games, and it's appropriate for Star Trek Year One.

Based on what I've seen so far, I definitely want to play the finished game!  Good work so far  ;D

The graphics look amazing and I really like the story idea (personally I think horror's been a bit done to death!).

Looking forward to this one!  ;D

Gah no it was me being stupid - didn't realise half of my inventory wasn't showing - thought it had all gone but it only needed a quick clikc of the up arrow!  ::)

Completed now, good game.

Hmm...

Spoiler
Already gave the coffee to George... haven't got anything that could blow up the door, is it found on the galleon itself?  If not I'll have to go back to a previous saved game, as I have no way of getting off the galleon now...

I've got the the point where I've found George Roberts, but I can't seem to find a way of getting him out of that cell... only have the silver bowl, George's notes and a bit of sail, nothing seems to do anything - is there an item on deck somewhere I've missed?  ???

Looking good so far  ;D

Though I liked Case 1 anyway, I have to say that Case 2 is a massive improvement.

I was expecting a red dwarf.  :(

I think he means it will be Red Dwarf in the true style, but with an original storyline and jokes, not just ripping off the jokes we all know and love.  Though we all have favourite bits from the shows, for a game this is the best idea I think - otherwise it would just be a pastiche rather than a game.  ;D

It's Red Dwarf, Jim, but not as we know it...

So it might take some time for a bug free game.

LucasArts usually manage it about 2 years after the game was released...  ;D

I don't recall the previous version, but I didn't want to leave your post completely uncommented.  ;D

It looks interesting, I'm looking forward to it.

AGS Games in Production / Re: AGS Guitar Hero

Is there any way of using Tracker music and making a program to grab the notes information straight from the file?  It seems to me (with my minniscule programming ability!  ::)) that the toughest part will be making the sequence of notes to play.

Also as List would say:
"Koooonchaaaaansskiiiiiiii" (Altogether)

Yeah but only if she's the snooty Scottish lass of the first season, not the one who invaded the last couple of seasons...
