If sprite compression is already on, change to the new BETA version, since the 2GB limit has been removed (or increased).
The only other alternative is loading the sprites from an outside source as dynamic sprites.

Congrats on the release! :)
Looking forward to give it a try.  (nod)

If the problem is mp3, then convert the files to ogg and see if that works.  ;)

Oh, let me just add that it annoys me more, people calling adventure games to games that are not.
Lara Croft is not an adventure game it's an action-adventure... And if it's an interactive novel, don't call it an adventure game, if there are only puzzles and no story don't call it an adventure game.

Just call it what it is and we're all be happier to be able to find exactly the game we're looking for. Instead of having to read through reviews or watch YT videos to figure out what type of game it really is.  ;)

I haven't played any of those, but I know that I enjoy adventure games for the story AND puzzles... While I can play an "adventure game" that only has puzzles and feel a bit empty for the lack of story, I will still get the enjoyment of solving the puzzles. Playing an interactive story with no puzzles or nothing else to do but to occasionally click for the game to go forward? I would quit after only a few minutes (if not seconds... as in as soon as I realize there's nothing for me to solve). Would rather read a book or watch a tv show/movie in that case.

But that's just me, I'm more interested in the puzzles rather than the story.  :)

I was just posting an hide inside of another hide and noticed that this doesn't work anymore.  :~(

Is it something that can be re-added or do we just have to live with it nor working anymore?

Spoiler

This is normal.

But this should be hidden until clicked  :-\

He forgot the coffee on his bicycle and it was freezing out side?  (laugh)

I haven't tried it, but have you tried to add the line number to the text?

as in
Code: ags
currentText = "&10 A lemon!";

You probably have to add the numbers manually though.

Hi Marcin and welcome  :-D

Nice résumé.  (laugh) I would suggest you to try joining efforts with someone and try a MAGS. It's a great way to test ones skills under time presure and have a feeling of the needs of a game. ;) Since there's a lot you can offer, you probably just need someone to help you coding.

Is it just me, or the voting is still missing?

Anyway, since I now have played and finished both games, I'll give feedback now.

Very sweet game, with nice puzzles and great graphics and story.  (nod)
I do however find the that it's borderline to the theme, since animals don't talk nor do they make potions in cauldrons (unless I belong to the non-enlightened ones  ;) ).
But besides that and the small points I mentioned above, it's a great game and you should be proud of it.  (nod)

Research Reservations
Spoiler

I loved this game, nice little puzzles and the animals act like animals.  (nod)
A little bit of polish on the interactions and I wouldn't be in doubt which game I vote for.

And my vote goes to:

Haven't actually decided which one. I love both and both have their strong sides and their weak sides...
Guess I have some extra time to decide, since the poll is still not up.  ;)

EDIT: And I ended voting for:

You!  (laugh) Just kiding...

Research reservations by VW. Was a close call, but I enjoyed the way he took the theme and didn't make the animals talk. Also, 2 player characters are a plus.  ;) I would definitely encourage you to skip a MAGS or two and polish this game.  (nod)

I pass a free game if it's on Steam as well.
#1492
Yes, I found that out after googling. But I really don't want to invest on one.  ;)

Just a heads up, I just replaced the Linux version. Hope all works now.  :-D

I know about the bracelet problem, I just got the sprites very close to delivery and had no time to improve it.
I noticed the text was a bit too small after getting the final BG, but I didn't had the font to re-import it as I'm on vacation and brought everything but the font.  :-[

Sorry, I'll fix both after MAGS voting is over.

But I'm glad you enjoyed the game anyway.  :-D

You can use a plugin for BG video, just keep in mind that you will be likely stuck with a windows game only in that case.

Linux version for my game is now available.  (nod)

Linux version is now available by using the mirror link at the DB or direct here: http://www.mediafire.com/file/zcmb72z7h1k3sh1/BirdyBirdy2.tar.gz/file

Big thanks for morganw for building this for me.  (nod) :-D

Edit: New version for Linux now available.

I might have read that once a long time ago, and then forgot.  :-[

But I wonder why there just isn't a "reload from source" option instead, like there is for sprites.  (roll)
