I also got some sweat times trying to figure that... I used to delete and the re-import, then I tried finding the audio cached file and edit that one, and couldn't figure out why my changes didn't get "saved"... Until I figured out that it was reloading the original files at build time... lots of hours lost in frustration, I must say.
#1502
morganw has offered to build it for me and has already gotten the source file.  :)

If you need to amplify sounds/music I suggest you install Audacity (it's free) and use it to amplify the volume (make sure you don't let the sound get clipped) then save to your original import files, and re-build the game again (it will pick up your files from the original import location, if available, and rebuild the audio cache with the new improved file).

Try talking to Problem, if you can get a hold of him. Last I heard he was building a game with Godot.

I'm using the latest Beta, maybe something has changed to cause the problem? Have you tried changing the render engine with winsetup (it's default is Direct3D 9)?
I can try and build a Linux version if you still can't get it to work (but I have no way of testing if it works nor have I build to Linux before).

Oh, and nice to know you enjoy my games.  :-D

Well, eve if there's a mirror, people will always click the main download link first. Which means that one person trying to download, will count as 2.
Some times I read the description if there's a mirror, to see if there's any info on where the games are located before clicking.

OT: I haven't yet. I don't really have that much time to play games anymore, as I rather make them or do 3D...  (roll) So I avoid long games.

To say from my side, if I click a game on the AGS DB and it takes me to GameJolt I just close the site, cause GameJolt doesn't work on my browser.  (roll) So I either check for a mirror, aks for a mirror or give up downloading the game.
Have no problem with Itch.io site.
#1508
oh, that means the same game would be about 30+20=50Mb
Doesn't bother me that much to be honest, but then again I currently  have a decent internet speed with no download limits. If i had limits and slow internet, that would probably be more annoying.
#1509
My latest game only has about 22Mb... so would it build as 30Mb or force me to add stuff to it?  8-0

Yes, sorry the graphic is a bit small, and I didn't had time to improve it.
Spoiler

It's on the fountain. on the middle "ring". Look for a little blue thing. (or move the mouse slowly until the text shows "Bracelet")
I'll play it another time just to make sure it's there, and that the water isn't in the way.

Edit: Just tested it and the water isn't blocking it. It's on the second "ring" from the top, on the left half of it. More or less in the middle of the left side.
If you still can't find it I can probably get a screen shot and circle it.
Sorry again. I only got the last graphics, including that one a few hours before the deadline, so I didn't managed to improve the click area and make the object more visible. The inventory graphic is bigger, but very ugly (my fault, as I had barely just enough time to pick that little tiny object and scale it up  :-[ ).

Okay then, so one needs to use the quit button to save.

Take all criticism as feedback to improve on the next game or "polish" this one pos-MAGS, if you are so inclined to do.   ;) (nod)

Okay, played a bit both other entries, and have a couple questions:

@NuggetSeb:
Spoiler

- How to save the game?

- I've been eaten twice, is there a way to get past by the fox?
- I don't like the need to confirm changing rooms.  :-\
- Don't like the "Game Over" quiting the game, specially if there are other endings than the one I've got and no save... yet the main menu suggests continuing.

- Not all is negative though, the game has a lot of charm  (nod)  :-D and those are really nitpicking issues.   ;)

@VW
Spoiler

- I seem to have gotten stuck on a room with a door and keypad. I can't seem to return to the hallways where I came from, nor do anything. Is this a bug or me just being thick headed? (after getting the keycard, I went thru the northern passage...)

EDIT: Okay, the above seems be a "bug"... the keycard gets used but stays on inventory, giving the impression that nothing happens.

EDIT2: Have now finished this little game. Nice entry, I enjoyed having 2 cute characters to play with. Ending was a bit abrupt though... Could use a bit of polishing though.

I'm having a bit of trouble getting a screenshot on this pc, so I'll update this thread as soon as I managed to grab the images and add the game to the database...

Edit: Hope I haven't forgotten anything.  :-D

Ours is coming soon, please don't close it. I just got the last sprites and now need to adjust a few coords...  :)

Yes, or make it like a book, and move to the next page , which is easier to do than scrolling the text.  ;)
But you have to know exactly how you want the quest log to work. Does not help someone if he/she interprets what you want one way and does it that way, and then you say you say you wanted it to be done some other way.

For instance, doing "pages", is easier than scrolling the text. Erasing the text and start fresh requires another way of doing it, unlike if you want to access the previous pages of your log  (since this requires storing the text and dealing with changing pages)...

So decide exactly what you want and how the log should behave. Doesn't matter if you think it's hard to code or easy. Let the eventual coder know exactly what you want and how.  ;)

you can append to a label as well.  (nod) You can even click on a label.  ;)
what you can't do is use an image on a label, for that I use a button.
#1519
slasher, you can do that on labels as well...  ;)

Hi, congrats on the release.  (nod)

Seems like the file that it's trying to be downloaded is not HoppingHomeward.exe but journey.exe.

Also, could you provide a zipped version of the game? I don't like, nor do I download, installers for ags games.
Thanks.   :)
