I believe that when in windowed mode, the mouse speed is the same as adjusted in windows.

You can adjust mouse speed via code in the editor, for full screen only (I think) using mouse.Speed.

Here's the solution for the fuse box:

Here's a backup spaceman. It can be remote controlled for carrying up tasks that our heros can't reach on their own. Batteries are NOT included!

Just default it to the one you prefer, cause users will change it to fit their system/preference anyway.
In the end, just make sure your game plays nicely independently of the GD chosen.

I like to use the BG showing the open door, and then just use one object with the closed door sprite.

Then all you have to do is:
oDoor.Visible= true; // door is closed

and

oDoor.Visible=false; // door is open

This saves me trouble of having to remember what the sprite number is.

Do you mean that I can use a cord (usb?) controler on a windows system? Think all my 360 controlers are cordless.  :-\
#1547
I'd love to help, but I need more info than that.  :-[

Do I need to install my controller i a wondows enviroment? Or install the game on a xb360? How?

Funny talking about dreams, I just love those adventurous dreams... always a shame to wake up and not get the end of the story.  (laugh)

Never had that dream man n fist, not that I remember anyway.

Tonight I had one of those film dreams, that I'm always sorry to wake up from. It had something to do with a Hospital, a ward that had burned in the late 60s (think it was 1967)... then there was this firefighter with an old yellow fire clothes and gas mask, once I got "down" there the empty hallways and rooms and all was black and singed. I meet the firefighter face to face but flashing my flashlight right on his face, and I still couldn't see his face it was all still dark as pitch. He then moved and entered a room to my right... I woke up sometime short after that knowing a few things... the firefighter was dead and that was his ghost and for some odd reason, it was "played" by Bruce Wills...  (laugh)
Dreams can be so fun and silly sometimes.  ;)

PS. Oh yeah, there was also a nurse that mentioned that she was 2 years old (at the time of the fire)...  (roll)

Well, if you have a video per room, you can always check what room the player is in as well as video finished. Otherwise you can create a variable for each different video when you start it, and then check that once it's finished.

As far as I know, the module should not import video into the game exe, it just reads and plays the external file. Try setting the compression for images in settings and see if that helps.

I need to correct your walkthrough...

Take the BOW AND ARROWS (if you choose the sword, mace or lance, you will not be able to complete the game).

This is incorrect, you are able to complete the game no matter what weapon you take, the bow and arrow is just easier cause it has a longer range. If you take the sword or the mace you'll have to wait for the dragon to be closer before you can hit & kill it.

Also, you are able to pick up FREYA'S DRESS using both Loki and Thor. If you pick it with Loki, then just give it to Thor.

Thanks for the walkthrough though.  (nod) :-D

You either have to align your animation sprites with the normal view (the best way to do it from the start).
Otherwise you can change the characters coordinates (x & y) just prior to unlocking the view, so that your character "jumps" to place without the player noticing it.
#1552
I think it depends on where your character is on the room.
Is your character on the left side of the room when the portrait shows on the left and on the right when he's on the right?
Do you have other characters in the room? If so, are you left or right of them when your charterer speaks? Same for objects and hotspots.

I think that if you want him  to always be on the left and others on the right, that you might have to force that.

Nice games.  (nod)
My vote goes to

same as Shadow1000 and for the same reasons...  (laugh)
Although, I'm not sure I would have gotten the machine, if I hadn't read the hints.  :-\
the cone cursor was a neat idea, but very impractical, as I wasn't sure where I was clicking. A clear pointer/marker would have been preferably, ans maybe that would have helped with the last puzzle.

I like the topic, might be in if I can think of a story.
Been a while that I want to make a game featuring an animal.  (nod)
Only problem is I'll be going on vacation a week before the end of the month...  :-\

Looks beautiful, good luck with it.  (nod)

You could take the first frame of the video and use it as the starting BG image for that room (either by setting a 2nd BG, as an object, GUI, dynamic sprite...) and then you can set the normal BG back once the video has started playing.
#1557
Sounds good.  :-D

Congrats on the game.  :-D

I'll give you the first typo:

2st, the game REALLY needs a grammar/spelling pass

Nice place to illustrate the need.  (laugh)

For some odd reason, I thought it would be a thread about making up ones own random planet... how it looks, what kind of atmosphere, fauna and flora it has and so on...  ;)
