No, not Matlock.

Actually I think it should default to center, but have the option to pick x,y relation to the sprite (maybe from it's center, for easy reference), if the dev does not want to use the center.

Why? Cause it's easier to make your sprite ready to rotate in the middle (when designing it) and will of course simplify ones coding. But allowing to specify a x,y will allow the dev to rotate it from wherever he wants/needs it to rotate... even if it's outside the sprite... imagine your object/character got stuck on a giant wheel and it's now rotating around the center of that wheel. It can allow for creating easy rotations with a lot less complicated code.  ;)

It's okay, I didn't want the thread to die.  ;)

But it's not The Practice...

(after this pic, all pics I have include 1 or both of the main characters/actors, so it'll probably be easier, then, but this guy is probably also very recognizable ;) )

No, the show isn't about a baby, it just happen to have a baby in this episode.  ;)

This is ultimately the biggest problems: the tons and tons of games that are so easy they are forgettable.

I have a felling, that if I ever get the chance to play your games, I'll love them.  (nod)

Maybe Skillshare ?

Technically, it's 23:59 GMT 31/03, but nobody will disqualify you if you post it 00:00... 00:30... if gets much later, give a shout out, and I'm sure you' be allowed to.  ;)

After all, this contest is more about incentivization game creation and releasing a game within a certain time limit, than a fierily competition where the winner will win money or some other monetary value stuff...  We're all suppose to be (and stay) friends here.  (nod)

Fell free to post another one.  :) I have nothing atm.

Okay, guess LimpingFish doesn't want it, so I found something... I don't have any of this show, so it's a youtube grab (there might be scenes from 2 different episodes, sorry).

I never played any of his games, and I did listen to the entire thing, he comes out very arrogant IMHO.

But I do agree to a point that Adv. Games were more challenging back then, cause you had no walkthroughs, you either figured it out or you would be stuck until you figure it out (or a friend/relative figured it out). I like that, so I avoid solutions like the plague and hate in-built "hint" buttons telling me how to do it, since the feeling of "feeling smart" is one of the things I enjoy when solving puzzles, and having the solution thrown at me kills that satisfaction (even if I didn't use the hints). This was the exact reason why I never played Back to The future, when I was so eager to after finding out there was a 4 episode game... even though I selected the "no tutorial/no hints", the game was still telling me "go there, look at that..." yadayadayada...  (roll)  I got even more annoyed, when I found out that no matter what I choose as a reply during the intro, the game would reply and continue as if I had chosen "the correct" answer... if you going to give the player 4 options of dialogue during an intro sequence, the least you could do was alter the intro/reply slightly... running the exact same answer makes this dialogue option useless.  :-X

I would drop that idea, or had a second solution 8maybe harder/more complex) for the player to unlock himself.

Don't think I played KQ5, since I don't remember that "puzzle", but that seems like a deliberate way of killing the play joy of players, and can't think why anyone would do that. Sierra games were full of those, but seems to me that most were unintentional dead ends (as in they didn't thought about the possibility of not having a certain item and a certain time/letting you waste all your money on useless stuff and no way to earn more later on), while this one (the cat/mouse situation was deliberate, and a player would have no way of knowing that would lock you later on... and then have no way to know why you got stuck).

Anyway, lovely game and pixel art. Shame you left AGS, but your choice.  :)

At least their honest... wondering though if the customers can actually read.  (roll)

I had the same problem that Laura Hunt had, when reading Ali's post. Maybe it's our "cultural language" influencing how we read that first paragraph? ;) And not knowing who "Jan Å vankmajer" didn't made it easier.  (laugh) Thanks for posting the video.  (nod)

Also, a bit OT @Blondbraid: Marsha and the Bear is actually very entertaining/funny (if you can overlook the fact that a little girl is hanging around a bear (laugh)). Even though the target audience are small children, it's very well made and adults can watch along (another cartoon for small children that also included adults in it's audience is Peppa Pig, with some very "adult jokes" that children won't pick up on  ;)). They're both on YT, if you want to watch one (they're like 5 minutes long, if memory serves me right).

I have one monitor om HDMI, and the other on VGA port. Works fine for me.  ;) But then again, I don't "game", so maybe it's not suited for a gamer setup.  ???

I can only speak from my own experience being a Portuguese living in Denmark... Even though there are obvious cultural differences, I still fell that the two aren't that different at the core of values. I had no problem "adapting" to living here and I don't think my way of live would be much different had I not moved. While other countries, like Arab nations, I wouldn't even want to visit, cause I wouldn't be able to (or don't want to) abide by their laws.

Discrimination and xenophobia is, unfortunately, a common ground around the globe and present in all countries and is an entirely different subject other than "cultural", IMHO.

Tommy Wiseau claiming that "The Room" was
meant to be a comedy all along when people were laughing at the bad acting and weird script in his drama film.

If you can't beat them, join them...  (laugh)
