I might join in on this one, got just the most perfect devilish villain in mind! :-D Hope it's okay, that it's from my fav TV show though. ;)

No worries Vince Twelve. ;)

Will your comic be edited on old fashion paper? I'm old fashion that way that I hate reading comic books on a screen. (roll) If so, please give me the needed info so I can order it right away from my Comic book pusher. :-D

Don't know the old style, but I like V.2 the best. (nod)
Good luck with the game!

PS - Funny enough when I first read the topic of this thread, I thought "Why does he need a New Forum Name?" (roll) (roll)(laugh)

Love comic books, so had to check it out. :-D

Unfortunately, can't! All I get is a blank webpage! 8-0
I know, I'm paranoid and I rarely let sites I don't know or trust to be on the "play scripts" at first date. Since it's you I allowed them from your site... still blank. Since I don't know the other 2 sites... I'm not about to turn off my "no scripts" police for a first date. Sorry.
Point to be taken? You might want to add a simple htlm splash page to say something "This site uses this scripts for you to see it in it's full glory, in the mean time you can see these pretty preview pages from my awesome comic book, that I'm sure you'll enjoy once you turn scripts on! Promise I won't hijack your browser... too much (laugh) ".

Also, no FB here... (runs away from the wip! outch!)

Only other reason I can think of is: A "guest" saw it, and took it, not posting cause... well, you can't post if you don't have an account... and why bother?
Think the PM method is the best one, as only members can PM. ;)

This is probably a stupid question, but...
Any special reason for not creating the Views with the exact frames you need? Then it would start and end exactly where you want them to. ???

Uhm... guess by your hint that it's not this one then: Legion of Fire: Killer ants
#5348
I'm not sure what frame rate you are using, but keep in mind that animated series/movies only normally use 15fps. Your video is mostly still pics, so you could probably drop the rate fairly low with still decent show... or import the "spites" and code the intro in AGS. (Which am currently considering for my own intro, since I haven't had much success playing AGS videos on my system so far).

Spoiler

Depends on which country you are. ;)
A in any country that drives on the right side, B in all other countries that drive on "the wrong side". :P (laugh)
Spoiler

Why? Cause all you can see are windows, so door is on the other side.

Marabunta? (or what ever it's written... goes on to IMDB to check spelling).

EDIT: Okay, there seems to be two... but I'll go with my first guess: The Naked Jungle (1954)

Spoiler

I assumed he saw the wife and choose to save/join her by jumping in the water. But yeah, it could have been the others that pulled him in.
And I felt about exactly the same watching the happy kid in the water... 8-0

Ah, thanks for the car ride "drivethrough". (laugh)

Finished now. :-D Three times even! :-D

Spoiler

Okay, I got ending C first. Still not sure why looking at a mirror would end the game though. ??? Then I got ending B... thinking that I didn't got to explore the bathroom because I was afraid that the game would then end again, and I hadn't realized that calling Mendez would end the game. So I finally got ending A!
But guess I won't get ending S, cause I don't think I checked on him on the toilet, and I'm not about to have another car drive. :P
Just felt that there was another missed opportunity for one last puzzle with the phone call. Could have had a dialog there where the player needed to choose the right answers (info that collected from the car drive chit chat.) I even took the time to get a screen shoot, cause I wasn't in the mood to find a pen and paper or write it on notepad. (laugh)
Extra spoiler
Spoiler

Also felt the flashlight drop was a bit "odd" and unfair, since I made sure to check the screen before I left the carpark and it wasn't there. :P

Anyways congrats on the game and hope you get to complete it after voting ha ended. (nod)

PS - Don't think take my "complaints" as a bad thing, cause I enjoyed the story, the portraits were just gorgeous and am now glad I got to finish this one. Take them as "food for thought" and nothing more. ;)

Gfreezie: I hope you fix the glitches and bug and release a second version soon. I gave up since the game kept breaking. But was enjoying and would like to play it again, but bug free. ;)(nod)

Spoiler

You do see the father at the end, together with the mother and "saying" that now it's just them two, no child. Thought that was somewhat sad though. :~(
so no need to guess that part. ;)

Editor Development / Re: 32-bits templates
Thu 10/09/2015 20:02:40
Just a thought, why not add both templates to the source? Would the extra work/size be too much of a bother?
And in case someone doesn't know what I'm referring to: I mean add the templates "default 8bit", "default 32bit", etc...
#5356
I'm tempted to get my 4y old play this one... all it's need if WHAM's "no text" implementation to be perfect for any kid! (nod)
#5357
Okay, gave this one another try and using Dualnames's "hint" I finally figured out what to do... (laugh) (Honestly, I hadn't seen the letters as they are very dark, so was just trying the numbers... (roll) ).
Spoiler

Nice puzzles, though, once one figure what to do becomes a bit redundant after the first 5 "locks". Liked the 2nd one much more... Took me a while to figure that one and then a while more to "un-mess" what I had done while trying to figure it out. (laugh)(nod)
Must say, felt kind of short too. But I like the "wink" at end. (nod) I Thought I had died! (wtf) You evil one! (roll)

Haven't finished yet, and frankly I had already given up on it. :-\ Soo much death! Sooo much bloood!!!! (tryign to fish the blood addicts here!) ;)

First, yes instructions on the keys to use would have been nice, since you basically disabled the mouse for anything but choose text option and menus. I meet the first "ending" (Strike 1) while still trying to figure how to do the most basic thing: Walk, talk and look! (roll) Either a readme txt file with the keys, or a splash screen right at the start would have been nice. (nod)

Spoiler

I then went for a car ride (still wondering why she didn't just used her cell an called for an ambulance - btw, can we use inventory items or they are just there for show?). Concentrating on the road sounded like a good idea, and after beeing bored by that drive so did Gilles! Strike 2!
Okay, we try again... I check on him and (Strike 3)! Arggghh!
I try again, and check on him later, all seems to be going good, but then she just keeps yapping and (Strike 4!).
At this point it kind of felt a bit random and I gave up on it. :-\
[close]

Anyway love the art and voice acting, and seems there's so much more, I'll give this a chance more. (nod)

EDIT: Unless someone posts the right click combination for the car ride, I'm done! >:(

My guess is that Allegro does not have the codec to render the video, and therefor gives that error.
You have no idea how many head bangs I have given cause VirtualDub refuses to load any mp4 file, or mkv, or... >:(
#5360
Lower resolution for your video. :(
