Happy b-day everyone! (nod)

There, now I'm covered for a hole year! (laugh)(roll)

What you want is draw parallel diagonal lines. ;)

Made a little drawing for you:

Hope it helps.

That sounds very intrusive for Apple to decide what can and can not be done on someone else games. >:(
No wonder I hate Apple!

But congrats on the release, anyway. (nod)

@cat, actually both. The character is too small and the building too big. I have a couple hours now before bed time, so I'll see if I can fix it. :)

Unfortunately I need to leave the compression function on "FALSE" because otherwise the game is too slow at run.
I'm using the AGS version 3.3.3 and set a screen resolution of 800x600, while the "acsprset.spr" file weighs now about 2 GB (if relevant).
Thanks for the attention!

Have you tried running Winsetup->Advanced and setting the Sprite cache to 100MB? It's set to 20MB by default, but I have found that in my system setting it up to 100 (MAX) helps... A LOT! (nod)

cat, you can try the comic book approach with a few horizontal lines. I found this link the other day for ID: [url]http://www.wikihow.com/Draw-a-Glass-Window/[url]. Also don't google "how to draw a window" but "how to draw glass" you can add "window" to the search if you like.
Main thing to remember is that they reflect what ever is happening outside, but you can get away with just blackness, and maybe a vase or two, a curtain or something else that might be set behind the window.
Also look at reference pictures, and see what happens to the window glass. :)

Thanks cat, that was my original idea, only 2 floors, but when I scaled everything else all of a sudden I had a huge door to a tiny man. :-[

I'm also still working on this, slowly...

I've trashed the previous version (the one that looked like a cylon head) and reverted to my first model.
But am having a serious scale problem at the moment, as you can see.... :-\
So after adding the stairs to the docks on the left and making door and windows... it completely messed up! >:(
So now I have two options... trash this model entirely and do a correctly scaled one in ACAD, or forget about actual measures and eyeball it... :-X

You just blow my mind every time you post some new art. (nod)
Keep it up!

Hints & Tips / Re: Minifeg:The Search

Hint 1:
Spoiler

Are you sure you explored the Pirate ship throughly? ;)
[close]

Hint 2:
Spoiler

If you still stuck at this point, then might I point out that there's a door opened to the left, under the stairs, on the Pirate ship... 8-)

Hint 3:
Spoiler

I'm pretty sure you honestly don't need this tip at this point, but... there's something you can take from the captain's cabin... (nod)

Hey.

Basically it's a IF/ELSE IF/.../ELSE IF/ELSE type of condition, maybe there's a better way to do it, but I'm new to coding. (roll)

Like CW said, I created a custom property for each inventory item, so when the played picks it up, it checks what it is.
And yes, it goes by default to right hand, then left hand, then right pocket, then left pocket, then backpack (if the player has it, otherwise it'll say it can't carry anything else).
As for moving stuff from one inventory to the other, I just used the backpack icon on the inventory. One just needs to pickup the item from inventory and drop it on the backpack to move it there. To get it from the backpack you open the backpack and just grab it (you need to have 1 free hand to do this).

Hope this is enough to get you on track. :)

Click on the area between two items to swap their positions and not on the actual items for best results.

And NOW you tell me! Took me the last version to figure that out! :P
Congrats on the release BTW. (laugh)

Yes, you can do all that you are asking for. ;)

EDIT:
I've done something similar to what you wish for one of my games (in production), where the character has his "normal" inventory that are basically 2 pockets and 2 hands, and then he can extend his inventory using a backpack. I've divided my items in 3 categories: small, medium and big. And any object that is big can only be carried on his hands, never on the backpack... and his pockets can only carry small objects.
The "main" inventory is using a blue background and the "secondary" a red one. And then I just added the possibility of "moving" stuff from the main inventory to the backpack and vise-versa (I think).

So yeah, you can pretty much do anything you can set your mind to. :-D

josiah1221, am glad you are enjoying it.  :-D

Feel free to ask in the hint thread about your specific problem. That's what is there for. ;)
So, don't be afraid to ask!

I do have a "walkthrough" video I did, but isn't it more fun to try and figure out for one self?

Thanks, ollj! :) I needed something that I could do in a hurry, as I knew there was no way I was going to meet MAGS deadline if I had to hand draw everything.
#5459
Cool, many thanks! :-D

Hey, congrats on the release.
Do you have a version without installer? I want winsetup so I can run it in a window. Thanks. ;)
