Welcome back!
Sorry to hear about your PC and the lost of data, never fun to lose data.

Here's the link: http://www.adventuregamestudio.co.uk/site/games/game/1923/

I remember he posted that he accidentally posted the game twice, and AGA deleted one of them, guess he deleted the "wrong" one...  (laugh)

TGames, you might want to update your first post with the correct link.  ;)

PS - Congrats with the release!

Can't see why not, even if it's a remake, it's still a new BG made from scratch.   (nod)

Nice jwalt!!!  :-D

Mine is done (sorta off), but having some trouble rendering a final picture... it's taking ages!  8-0
At this rate we'll reach the deadline and my computer still has only rendered two thirds of the picture.  (wtf)
(think I'll drop quality, if I can find the right setting for it!)

EDIT: Never underestimate a short tutorial/tips... Seems to be looking decent, and now it says: Remaining 03:44:32.54:-D

EDIT 2: Not perfect, but it'll do for now.  :-D
It's my first night scene!  (nod) Though I am a bit sad my design gets lost in this lighting... but what gains in "mood" is worth the loss, IMHO...  (laugh)

I have this coin I got from my travels. Not sure which planet it belongs any more or how much it's worth.

I'm pretty sure I also had a note somewhere around, but haven't been able to find it. I'll post it later if I find it.  ;)

Are those purple things eyes?
Why not go for a 360 degree visor, so the eyes can be inside and protected, at the same time it would be possible to look 360 degrees round? So in reality not have a front/back concept.

Kasander, it's funny to read how you guys had it back then with pirated games... And you need not go behind the iron curtain (I'm Portuguese), cause I'm pretty sure all those games I bough (in a store) for the Spectrum back then, were pirated copies (they come in a cassette, with a generic printed cover - first in B&W and later on in colour - with the name of the game printed on it. And if the tape didn't read, I would just go back return that one and get a new one)! Though I didn't knew it was a pirate copy at the time, I just thought that's how they come. (laugh) Only several years later, once I started thinking about it, I realized they were very unlikely to be legal copies.
On the other hand, the games I bought for the C64 and later on PC (from another store, but more "under the counter" type of deal), were Pirate copies, and I knew it at the time. :-[ Can't remember exactly when I stopped buying pirate copies and moved to the originals.
Am pretty sure I can still go to that store and get a pirate copy if I want (since I know the owner, and he knows me, my brother and his friends - then again, I haven't been there in over 11 years... ;) ).

Only one I can think of is: Until I Have You

EDIT: Oh, sorry. Didn't read the "engine" part... But maybe they can help you get on the right track. ;)

Just want to say that I love the theme, right up my alley, so I'll give it a try, even if it won't be a BG I'll use for one of my games. ;)
Have some ideas already, so it's really only time that's the problem... And with no further a due, will start working on it right away. (nod)

What I want to know is Woods view on the Pentagon... Was that also imaginary or did the government needed a good excuse to justify remodelling? (roll)
Oh, wait... this is probably one of those "not relevant stuff" that she likes to dismiss....

Oops, I didn't got to vote on this one. Sorry. :-[

Anyway, congrats to all, amazing pieces of art you all managed to squeeze in here. (nod)

Believe it or not, Lisbon isn't at the end of the world. (laugh) So, no.

Okay... clues: It's written & directed by W.W. and it's from 1994.

Dead on clue:

Part of the title's name is written on the postcard.

Uhm... no guesses? :-\

Here's another clue then, this one is a pretty big clue! (nod)

Well, besides the points everyone already mentioned (specially Lasca), like where are the towels? hand soap? etc. Maybe a medicine cabinet, a little closet for towels and toilet stuff, a sitting bench, etc... With such a big room, maybe some picture hanging on the wall.

I would point out the discrepancy of light in the BG. Do this: cover the bottom half of the picture up and look at it. Then uncover it and look at it again. I'm pretty sure you will notice that the top half in very dark and almost sinister, like there's no light at all. Then the bottom half is a "bath" of light, so much that it even hurts the eyes. So, unless your light source is the floor, you need to rethink this. ;)

Bathtub looks a big too small to me, and this type of tub normally have feet, Though it's not wrong to say this one doesn't have. But if you had the feet, then it will have a feel of an old tub. Though it's hard to determine what type of design you are aiming for here.
I'm also not sure what's going on with that toilet. Did you use a reference picture, or just made it the way you thought it should look? Try removing that "weird shape" on the lower back of it. Either go for a clean back if you aiming for modern, or if you want old, then there will be a hole in there.

So, is this an old house? a modern house? and old house with modern interior design?
I would consider adding some wall tiles, at least around the bathtub. But I'm used to having bathrooms with tiles in all the walls. ;)

With all this, please don't think that your BG "sucks", cause it doesn't. It's actually very cool and I like it. :) It just needs to be fine tuned. But that's why you posted it here, so you could get some ideas and suggestions to do just that. Good luck and keep up the good work! :)

Remember, Rome wasn't built in one day... it took two! (laugh)

Well... come to think 2030 is only 15 years ahead... chances are those boxes will still be there in the same place for longer than that. (roll)
