I'm only missing 1 orange! But can't seem to break anything else. :(

Spoiler

I hate the "PRECHOPPED" msg, makes me feel like I'm not done chopping that item... >:(

PS - did you really needed to make it 20 oranges? Wouldn't 5 or 6 do the same? That inventory list is a pain to use. Why the hell those guys that made the engine made in vertical and not horizontal!?

This has turned out in a proper lesson, good job Snarky. someone should add this (or the link to this post) to the manual. ;)
Had no idea about the ///, that'll be handy! :-D

Granted but your have so much creativity and inspiration that it overwhelms you and end up suffering from severe depression and can do anything useful with it.

I wish I had more paid vacation days.

>> Excuse you selfs for the rough entry and explain that they are from the Hotel bagage service, and they come to collect it as requested by the room owner...

if duck = RoomOwner

2) Ohhh! Thank you so much! Threw a "mouse.DisableMode(eModePickup);" in my starting room and all is well. I don't know if it will carry over to other rooms but if it doesn't, I could just add it again to each new room, so I consider this done.

Ahhmmm.... just add it to Global Scripts and it will carry on to every room you code. Better than adding the code to every single room. ;)

I'm 99% sure that Mandle will volunteer... in fact I volunteer him to do it... (laugh)

Sure you can "cheat", but the point is taking the challenge of real time drawing.
Having just short drawing time make you go for the shape and not get caught into the detail.
I remember the first time I tried timed drawing, and all I got was like the head... I did got better once I stopped focusing on the detail and started getting the shape...
I'd definitely give it a go if I had the time. Sometimes I do miss miss those challenges from Uni... :~(

I haven't worked with the 9-Verb template, but I have a feeling that Monsieur OUXX is right.

Try doing a if/else condition to check for the choosen active mouse mode to determine which click the engine should process...

If you can't figure it out, maybe someone more experienced than me can help you out with the needed code. ;)

EDIT: Also, check your General Settings -> Character movement... try fiddling with these settings and see if it makes any difference for what you wish to do.

Since I tend to often play games with sound turned off (in winsetup, if the game does not provide a costume sounds check), this is a "bug" I find often... :(

I'm however baffled to read that this is the "intended" behavior for AGS, rather than just ignore any sound related code... 8-0 Specially when it's not mentioned anywhere (that I know off) in the manual.
I've always assumed that once you turn off sound in winsetup, AGS just ignored any sound related commands... :-[

Really nice one, best one I've seen so far. (laugh)

Looks very interesting. :)

Thanks for posting this.

A. Best IDEA/CONCEPT piece: HAGGIS, I just love the idea of dropping the worse scum of society at the bottom of the ocean... (laugh)

B. Most PLAYABLE piece:  WRK, there's just so much to interact with in there... :)

C. Best ARTISTIC EXECUTION: 304, but really, this one is for me the hardest to choose, cause they are all so good, that I would put 5 on the top... so guess I'll flip a 5 side coin... ;)

Looking good! (nod)

@highkingtorygg : You shouldn't just settle for the default because it's the default, you should choose it because you wish for a Sierra interface... if you wish another interface, then choose another template (they are there to help you out). No need to use the Sierra template, if all you wish in your game is a simple one click button, or 2 mouse button (BASS template), or a LucasArts type of interface or....

So... choose what you wish, then pick up a template. Then start coding. ;)

>>pry lead out of one shell and load gun then fire into some of the flammable pillows and junk around you. LET THERE BE LIGHT!!!!!111!1!1!!111

Nice one, was thinking about the same lines... though Larry is used to "see" in the dark, so it should not make any difference to him if there is or not light. :p

Don't hate it. :)

I would rather see it posted in it's original intended size with the zoom tag though (hint: you can edit your post and change that ;) ).

Really like the title screen, it shows immediately what the game story is about. Only have trouble figuring out the flying creature on the right (dragon?).

Has for which one I prefer... think I like the minimalistic better, but then again, it's hard to compare (for me anyway) when the screens do not have the same size.

Whatever you decide to do, rememberer that it's your game, and you should do what feels right for you. Unless you have a producer on your back telling you what to do to grab the maximum number of players (in that case, go Baywatch style... (laugh) ).

Never coded such a thing, but sounds like a fun challenge to do. (nod)

You don't need a new room, a GUI is probably a better option. Then you can use a button for each letter on the note, and you could then code the press/unpress of the button with different sprites (underline/not underline)...

But am sure some of the more experienced coders on this forum, will come up with a better solution than mine. ;)

Is that blob meant to be the ingredient?
Does it mean that you need sacrificing  a cat to a blob in order to create a good (horror) game?

Ah! I thought it was obvious... You need a container, litter box, and an ingredient, a blob named Blint... This will ensure that you are sharp and awake to work on your game (you need to change the box once every hour providing that much needed break from coding)... And Blint doesn't take no for and answer, he wants you to make that game... he's a sucker for adventure games! :P

Nah, not really... it's just that when I read "ingredients that you'd expect to be part of the recipe for a cool game", I didn't really thought about on the coding/dev side, but on the game assets (like characters, sprites, etc)... :-[ When I started I was just going to draw a nice sofa with an alien sitting on it... but then Blint invaded the shape... (roll)(laugh)

Ahhh....There's the cat! See! No sacrificing cat! Am sure when the cat saw the blob on his litter box, he just took the wiser route and when to do his things else where.... cats are very smart you know?

I sincerely hope the X-Files are going to track back their roots, roughly the first three seasons.

I am sooo glad that I'm not alone! (nod)
