After a period with masks inside commercial and public places, and continued infection increasing (and deaths), we're now going in for a new lockdown. Big commercial centers will be closed from tomorrow already, from monday a few more stuff will be closed (including schools and free-time activities) and from 25th Dec. everything, except supermarkets and pharmacies, will be closed until 3rd Januar.

I normally just google and grab the first that is A4, then print.  (roll) Last year even found one that let me change the "basic" color...  (laugh)

The character will always use the middle lower point of the sprite canvas to walk to. If the feet of your character are 5 pixels up, then add at game start character.z=-5.  ;)

Have you started a new game with the BASS templet and run the game? Does it work there? If so, then it's something in your game that is interfering.
When I have this kind of problem and can't figure out what is wrong, I start by "removing" blocks of code from the script by adding a /* at start and */ at the end of the block I want to skip.

My suggestion would be exactly that, block all the code you have added and see if it fixes the problem, if it does, then it's a matter of finding the right block of code that is interfering.

Other_click does nothing in the BASS template, as far as I know.

Use LookAt and Interact events, instead.
However, clicking on the item it should pick it up. Are you sure you are actually clicking on the items and not on the image of the items? Check the size of the inventory items.
What is your game resolution? What size are the item sprites and what size is the inventory items size set to be?

Otherwise, start a new game and run the template game, you should then be able to pick up a inv item.

Cool, I got the "perfect" team and spend last night working on the assets... I made... a chair!  (wtf)
To be fair it was a bit complicated shape, so hopefully I can finish the rest of the furniture tonight and start working on the BG.  (laugh)

This thread is starting to be "the movie I just saw yesterday"...  (laugh)

Anyway, for me it's got to be Flatliners (1990)... going to the movie with some friends from summer camp and having no idea what the movie was about (we just picked a random movie)... and the Portuguese title just made me think it would be an action/cop movie, so my expectations were rather low. But boy was I blown away... still love to watch it and still gives me goose bumps every single time.  (nod)

I agree with Joseph DiPerla, I do a lot of 3D and yet have no interest in doing 3D adventure games (if I did, I would be using Unity or Godot). 2.5D would be good though, to cast realistic shadows and lights on the BGs, but that's about as much as I would like to go with it.

The [ represents a break in the text. There's no \ anywhere. I loaded my english trs, added the new translated line and saved it on my hd. I then copy pasted it from notepad to here. (note: I know nothing about SpeechCenter tool, as I've never used it. I'm refering to Tzachs's web app)

EDIT: Also I just tested the trs with foreign characters and they're displaying just fine for me. So again, this is most likely a problem with your computer/OS/browser code page setup.

Uhm, you are not suppose to add any lines to the translated files! One line only per translation.

are you using the trs that AGS provides, or some other file? It kind of sounds like you har using the wrong page code to me.

Is it only the displayed text that shows wrong? Can you type regular special characters in the text box? or do these also show wrong?
post your trs file so w can take a look.

They should display correctly. I have portuguese (ºçáèéíóá), danish (øåæ) and english keyboard setup and can see all the special characters correctly. So make sure you are using the correct page code.

Are you saying you saying that they don't show up correctly when you're typing the translation, when you save the translation and check it or when you place it in the game?

Otherwise, send me a txt sample of the text showing up wrong, and I'll see if I can figure out how you can fix it.  :)
