Uhm, not going too good. Got my BG and a stupid looking character, but haven't even coded a single line of code. 

How about starting a game now, is it a good time? 
I got an idea for a short one, but not sure I can reach the finish line...

I agree with Snarky. Just call it 4. 

I've used PlayMP3File before and works fine. 

Remember to add some dummy variables as well, you never know when you might just need a couple extra to fix a bug or even had something new. 

Uhm, I'm not familiar with the tumbleweed template, but doesn't it handle all the "verbs" using any_click? Can it be that it's actually running both scripts? And thus you get your successful action AND the unhandled via the any click? Try deleting the any_click from the event (you can always add it again afterwards) and see if it fixes the problem. 

Lovely theme, lots of potential and great shapes too! 

I'll start: meet Poutchie, a lovely plush that come out of the production line a little different than your regular plush dog...  Despite only having two front legs, uneven ears and eyes, a hanging tongue and a rainbow unicorn, he's always happy and ready to share the love with his human child... if he can ever find one.

Also, this is an anventure game forum (for the most), so consider it your first well done solved puzzle!! 
And we just love puzzles, right?

2 weeks seems about right, I think. But at the end of the day, it's really the host that decides. I just check previous comps to see how long they run, and go from there.
So, it only took me  13 days to remember about it... 

Hope more will chip in with their coloring. 

The History of Love ?

The following is based on true events, as of when I collected and disposed of my son's decorations on the 2nd Nov...

VW, keeping motivation is the hardest part to be honest. And can't help you with that very much, since I'm currently also out of motivation.
Ways that work for me: I've planned most of the story, dialogues, puzzles in my mind and I just want to share them with all of you. Or I'm working with someone else and then that's my motivation, to deliver my part no matter what.

Right now I'm working on scenario (BG) for this month, but since all I have is a just a vague idea, it might not end up becoming a game... this month anyway. At least I'm having fun building a 3D mansion. 

Maybe that's your problem VW, you're going after a win. Just make a game you like the way you see it, forget about winning. Just have fun, and if it results in a win, the better. But do not it just "to win". Also, stop throwing your games out the window 2 days before the deadline and then expect to be able to put up a full long game.

Start small, and add to it, if you have the time, and above all, always have the game at a point where you can put a "The end!" or "To be continued...". Then decide if you want to continue working on the game and not deliver it, deliver it and continue working on it, or it's done and only bug fixes will be worked in.

If you notice, nobody else is trying to make MAGS every month (unless you're name is slasher).
I think 1 to 3 MAGS a year is a decent amount for the rest of us, mere mortals, IMHO. 

I prefer to no argue at all, since there's no point.

If one has to raise ones voice to be heard, it's not worth it. Nothing good will ever come out of such a way of discussion. If we can't talk the issue over in a calm and respectful way, I will not be part of the "discussion".
