Good job with the demo, there's a few things I hope will get more polished in the end version though. Or is it meant that the portrait shoot has no talk cycle? If so, I see no real advantage to use the portrait.
Also, there's no way to stop the conversation in the first dialog at the train station. You need to run all the options, before the "end conversation" option shows up.

But really nice puzzle with the sales pitch, I found out I'm probably better at selling than I realized, though.(laugh)

That's a great BG and am looking forward to see what you come up with this time. :)

I am having a problem

figuring out what to do with the table in the cell. I have taken one of the legs off the table but I can't figure out what to do next.

Have you checked the speed buggy?

If so, those titanium bars aren't that flexible...

You need the belt from the buggy, and use it on the door bars along with the table leg...

Just one thing. I installed it and then the game auto-started. 8-0
Just cause I installed it, doesn't mean I want to run it right away (or did I miss a check box on the installer?). Besides I want to run it in a window and not full screen. No choice for that from the installer?

Awesome! :)
Very nice indeed. (nod)

No sequel, just a re-release. There's a lot of "missing jokes" and fun situations that I had thought of, but never got the time to implement. And I really would like to add a few extra language choices, voice acting and SFX... so, yes a version 2 :).
And if you really want to help out, just say in what. Would love to get help.

One thing you may want to revisit is that it's possible to hit a dead end by not completing a task in a level (such as finding a specific item) OR by completing the given task that can end the ability to complete the game if done too early. This should have been detected during testing. I had to restart once and reload a few times because of this. One easy way to prevent this is by stopping the player from leaving a level (a message such as "you are not ready to leave this level" or something).

Thanks, I'm happy you enjoyed it. :)
I have fixed the sword delivery problem in v 1.1. Did you find other dead ends like these one? If so, please PM, so I can fix them.
I thought about that, but free traveling is more important for me than a "you can't leave just yet" type of msg. (Getting stuck in time is always a real possibility!) The problem here occurred that I tested by doing all that I knew I had to to do, ignoring all extra unneeded stuff... And am guessing my beta tester also forgot delivering the sword. :)

Quote
There are a few scripting errors that allow you to do the same task even though it's been completed. The Quit option from the menu did not work for me; I had to click Restart and then Quit.

Yes, I'll hide behind the "I'm just a beginner" excuse. ;)
I noticed the Quit option not working after the release, and have fixed it (not sure if it made version 1.1 or not though). That was a script fail, as I called the wrong GUI ( called the panel again, so the button looked like it did nothing). Oops. .
I've also run into problems with the editor... that seems like when I close a dialog, it does not save it automatically nor asks if I wish to save it. So I lost lots of dialog and corrections on occasions.

Quote
Finally, I recommend that you have the script reviewed and proofread by a native English speaker. The spelling errors diminished the polish of the game and there were some words that I just could not figure out because of the spelling.

See, if you read the game features, you'll see that's a feature... (roll) Not really, just had no time, it'll be fixed as soon as someone offers to do it.

But I'm glad you enjoyed playing it, despite all the mistakes. :)

I might add a few new time lines for version 2, just for that hard-core adventurer.

FrankT: Voices are tricky, for me and others David Jason and Terry Scott are DM & Penfold, any other voices would just be wrong. I could rip audio from the original episodes but as there are no subs for DM It would be a long and tedious process (PM me if anyone can find some, Ive looked extensively). It would also limit the dialog. It will probably be a compromise with some audio (catch phrases etc), unless someone out there can do a convincing DM impression.

I have the same problem for my game, but I~m sure if you can get some ppl that can do a close enough voice, no one (except hard core fans) would be the wiser. ;)
Voice acting would enrich the game in so many levels! (And here I am, the one currently playing games with the sound off, giving advice about sound. LOL)...

I've been thinking about the same the last few days, since I just released my first and only AGS game, if there could be the chance of it getting infected without me knowing it, if I had a virus that attached itself to .exe files.

I don't know the answer, but I'm guessing it is possible (please do correct me if I'm wrong!).

THANK YOU!!! I would not have thought to do that, as I did that the first time I was in the area.

SHADOW

Uhmmmm... if you had done it before, then that might then be an unintended "feature"... (wtf)

What I mean is that I always check every hotspot that I notice on every room. If I receive a message saying that there's nothing interesting there then I am not likely to do it again later unless there is a logical reason to do so. When I was playing I didn't think of reason to check again so Tabata's hint was most helpful. :)

The eggs are there from the start. You sure you looked, and not just interacted?

Atelier, I have a version 1.1 of my game ready, that fixes a bug (that makes it impossible to finish) and adds a little to the ending cut scene.
Should I just replace the link to the new improved version, or wait until the votes are in?
#6057
Great game Mandle! :)
Just finished it.

Spoiler

Loved the Lost reference... as soon as I saw the island and cloud monster, I thought "LOST!".
But you got me totally crazy at that maze!... so I just clicked...and clicked, and clicked... about 490 times according to your counter. .

If you do an improved version, could you please change the right mouse button to drop the item in the inventory window instead of doing "look"... Makes no sense to look, when you have an icon to change to the look mode anyway...
