The druid will come back after you run the goblins out of Havgan.  I think you can still do the giant side quest after that.

In my opinion, such a major spoiler probably shouldn't have been posted, because people will read it anyway :P

This is a help thread.  Someone asked a question, and I answered it, but I agree, in retrospect, it was probably a poor judgement call on my part.  Apologies.  I've edited my post to contain ridiculous and misleading information, but I'm afraid there isn't much I can do about the reaction.  >_o

It's random, but whenever I've played I've had a configuration like this in the opening room:
  A   _  B
C           C
Invariably I have been able to solve the puzzle by choosing the item corresponding with door A and one of two items that doesn't correspond with any of the initially visible doors.  (So shouldn't need take more than 2 tries.)  But I don't know if that was just odd luck for me, or if that's an actual pattern.  All I know is it's worked on three consecutive play-throughs.

Your goal is to collect all four gems and return them to the alter in the room that best fits them.

Pretty major bug.  Kestrel mentioned this in the hints thread, but I thought it should go here, just in case.

Spoiler
After finding the the assassin and showing the truth gem to the princess, the cutscene plays out like normal until the princess says it's time to apprehend the assassin, at which point the game crashes with this message:

Error: run_text_script1: error -6 running function 'on_call':
Error: Script appears to be hung (150001 while loop iterations without an update) in Room 81 script (line 41)

Thanks, I found the assassin and showed the truth to the princess, and got the same error you mentioned.  Most frustrating.  I don't suppose you found a way past it?

You need to use something they left in the village, but you might want to show it to someone who knows what it is first.

Dynamic arrays look awesome.  Look forward to the ones that work with structs.

Anyway, I got an error.  I downloaded the new beta to a new folder and opened it just fine.  Loaded a game I was testing in beta 4 with no problems.  Looked briefly at one of my GUIs to see if there were sliders, and then exited without saving.  After that I changed my monitor resolution from 800x600 briefly to 848x480 (which was weird so I switched back) and then to 1024x768, to see how the editor works in a higher resolution (typically use lower resolutions because I have poor eyesight and need to be able to see individual pixels in order to read some fonts and images).  I went to open the editor again and got this message:

An unexpected error occurred.  See below for details.
System.IndexOutOfRangeException: Index was outside the bounds of the array.
at AGS.Editor.SplashScreen..ctor()
at AGS.Editor.Program.RunApplication()

I switched back to 800x600 but still get the error, so I'm not sure what caused it.

Curious.

How do you get the love note from the stableboy?  I spoke with him periodically, but he never mentioned it to me.

Spoiler
On my first playthrough, I encountered the thief on the bridge and he wanted food, but I didn't have any for him.  On my second playthrough I made sure to have apples and that pumpkin with me all the time, but I never encountered him there.  Does anyone know how to trigger that event again?  And is there anything you can do for him if you do?

Alright, finished it on (one of?) the 'good but with some loose ends' endings and I wanted to report some glitches.

Spoiler
If you give gifts to the Pooka inside the fairy kingdom, after having given her a previous gift, the next time you enter you will need to pass the test again, and if you talk to your bard friend, he will tell that your next goal should be to enter there, instead of to rescue the druid village  whatever your actual current task is.

There were also a ton of glitches during the rabbit quest.  If you walk off the cliff by the jeweller's, as a rabbit, instead of dying you turn back into a human, and if you return to the scarecrow scene, it starts the next chapter automatically.  (This part almost felt scripted, as no other point that I know of allowed you to jump off the cliff and live, and I think there was even a message of some sort, but the plot never seemed to suggest that long falls reverse transformations, and there were the ither glitches.)
If you talk to the castle guard as a rabbit you get to reenter and see the princess again, still as a rabbit, though of course you can't survive.
Sometimes during the fox chase the fox seems to disappear.  Not sure what causes this.
Glitches if you enter the scarecrow scene with a fox already chases you.
You can still climb through the window into the monastery, but the fox still follows you.
Rabbit form won't cross the bridge when being chased.  Or won't always?  Some people seem to have managed it.  I used a lilypad.
I didn't notice any glitches on the other side of the river.

Unrelated to the rabbit, if you give the key to the monk and then ask him to open the case with the orb, he still says that the key was lost.  Also, if you use the key to steal the orb, and then give the key to the monk, you still get honor points.  I don't know if that was intentional or not, but it's awesome.

Concerning endings (spoiler heavy):
Spoiler
So far I have found three of the endings:
1- Stop the goblins and stay in fairyland.
2- Decline to aid Geraint and Paradur in taking down the sorcerer.
3- Defeat the wizard by summoning the seelie queen in the late king's bedroom, without proving the murderer, saving the princess, etc.  This being the first "Good ending"
There are still two more endings.  I don't believe these include minor variations on ending three, such as the fate of the tailor and whether you recovered your girdle.  Saving the princess may not even be enough to reach ending four, as there were lines written in Ending 3 that seemed to imply she was still alive and in danger of a future assassination (unless I misread), which seems to imply there are variations of the same ending wherein she survives.
I think it's safe to assume that one of the five endings is the 'perfect' or 'just about perfect' ending, where most or all of the loose ends are tied up, with the murderer apprehended, etc,  Though it is also possible that ending three is the only good ending, and the perfect ending is just another variation of it.  That (probably) leaves one last ending, but does it fall between ending 3 and the perfect ending?  Or does is it something completely different?
Has anyone managed to get an ending other than the ones I have listed yet?
a side note: One of the official screen shots features what looks like some kind of confrontation inside the wizard's tower.  Are these screen shots actual game footage?  This would seem to imply an alternate final showdown, even.

I'm stumped.
Spoiler
How do I reach the rope ladder in the secret passage?  I don't seem to have anything long enough,to reach it, and I can't find any way to get my girlfriend to give me a boost up or anything.  There was a spell for untying knots in one of the books in the wizard's house, but I don't have any way to cast it, so I assume that's out of the question.

This is weird.
Spoiler
I got the key to the orb from the raven once, but I loaded a game and I can't manage to do it again.  I've tried leaving and entering room, talking to the raven repeatedly, waiting for it to sparkle or move somehow and then clicking.  I currently suspect that the last one is what it is, but so far no matter how long I watch it, the raven doesn't seem to move a feather.  I'm confused.

Ignore my last problem.  I solved it.  However,
Spoiler
I've managed to visit the fairies, and have recieved quests from the seelie and unseelie, but I don't know where to start to solve either.  The bard tells me to check out the village, but I go there and nothing new.  Still goblins there, but there isn't much to interact with.  The death poem when I try to enter the village seems to hint that I need to bring help somehow.

Go for a swim.  There's an island that is more than it seems.  There's something valuable there you can sell to the jeweller, but only if you can see through the illusions.  There might be a better way to get the money, but I haven't found it, yet.

For the barghest, there's a book in the monastery that tells you how to beat him.  If you have the bottle, , something else in the monastery can also help.  I think there is another solution to this puzzle, but it involves running, which I have never done succesfully.

I'm stuck not far from there:

After the flute gets stolen I pinched the shield from the blacksmith, but I can't get out of the city without him taking it back.  Is there anyway to get the guards to let me out the front gate, yet?
