hey everyone!,

here's the deal, im looking for beta testers for a game thats no where near finished yet. You probally think im mad, but i can explain. You see, to reward all the beta testers of my game they will have a appearance in the atachual game, wether its on a wanted poster or in the pub, you will be mentioned. And this is why i need you guys so early.

Not only will doing this be very fun (lol), but it will also give me more insentive to finish the game, having people urging me on. (GET YOUR ASS INTO GEAR!)

So if your interested, the games set in the medievil times and is about 20% finished. The first five posters saying they want in will be chosen.

im sick of seeing 'image hosted by tripod' all the time

so i looked through the forums for a place where i could put this, but all i found was 'worthwhile demo upload site'

So here it is, its a brilliant site for uploading pictures quick and easy

The site is www.photobucket.com, they allow hotlinking, you can make your album private/password protected, and they have an easy copy and paste system for the img tags.

anyway, dont flame me if there's already a <worthwhile picture host here> post, but i didnt see it.

im soon to be getting a graphic tablet and i was wondering wether there are any things i should keep in mind when using one, are there any tutorials or anything on the web?

also i'd like to know how the whole system works .. is it just like drawing normally or do you have to do anything special?

but i would just like to tell you that me and a friend are making a new experience for ags over the holiday and its going to be BIG.

we are hoping to get it finished by the end of half-term, and at the moment its looking pretty damn professional.

well ive been saying a loada random crap recently soooo,

what ya gotta do is write two words into www.google.com and you have to come up with the least amount of results.

This could be a competition in 'competitions and activites' board. with a different word you have to add one to each week. like one week its saussage, and some has to get another word to add to it to make the least amount of results.

i jus wondering wether its worth buying one of those drawing pad (dunno what they're called).

Im reasonably skilled at drawing with a mouse, but im thinking it might be worth getting a drawing pad jus to speed up my game making.

anyway, how much are they abouts and how od they handle?

i was just wondering how many games have used full hand drawn backgrounds, coloured and drawn on paper and then scanned into a computer?

is it worth doing for a 320 resoloution game, as it would save me a lot of time drawing on computer.

hey guys,

this is my as of yet unamed work in progress game. Ive gone through many starts and stops of games but i really think this one is guna work.

you play dave (yup boring old dave) a hard working err worker at a eclair factory. Too keep yourself living under a roof you have been working night shifts at the factory.

now this doesnt seem to bad for Dave, he's happy with his life and he's been told he is a very good worker. But you see when your working all night you tend to get tiered, and when you get tiered you loose concentration. This being the main problem for Dave here.

*athem* to cut a long (intro sequence) story short he ends up leaving an eclair on the cream insertion tube fo way too long and it ends up with him blowing up the factory and becoming a wanted criminal

*edit just for minime* well kinda newayz, you se the police department think it was an act of terrorism and are trying to find the ring leader, the more you ask about the 'incident' the more suspicion you raise. If this gets too high then its in the slammer for you boy, which you then have to escape from, and get a change of clothes.

does anybody think this is a too strong story to play as it is a large part of the game, i have a backup story whick could also work but im nto sure.

A (kinda) unique attention meter telling you how suspicious you look infront of the pigs

Loads of diolouge, full screen animation

and the satisfaction of playing it

I am not too far into the game yet but once ive got a reasonable amount done i may need some music writers.

jus wondering has anybody in the community played the Neverhood, its a really good adventure game entirley made out of clay yes clay.

the animations are great, it has a good storyline, yup its a good game.

does nebody know a good site that allows you to upload your own website. I dont want summit like freewebs because to be honest they kinda suck, i'm currently working on a really professional looking site much like ilb.notrix.net.

Soo my point is is there any website providers that give you a addy like [yourname].notrix.net

hey, im asking a lot of questions today  

i want to know if there's a way of setting the room fade when it tranfers to another room. I want it to change to a room with the same background,thus giving the impression that the room hasn't changed atall.

i didnt know wether to post this in the begginer forum or the technical but hey, here goes.

im trying to get the ags snow plugin to wrok but it wont, i extracted the files into te ags folder, but the two applicattion extention files wernt there, but thats cus they're aplication extentions right?

newayz i loaded my game went to  plugnis, ticked the ags snow plugin box then saved. so that means i extracted it propally.

Then i extracted te two files it says to, into my game/compiled folder. right.

im not sure wether idid this propally but this is my main problem. I dont understand how you atachally activate the rain and how to set it in the script.

yup its me the chicken, posting in the *begginers* technical Questions.

newayz, i wanna know if there's a way of darkening the screen but without having to import another background cus thats waaay too many colours.

ive tried tint screen but all that does is change the colours and not the brightness.

i was thinking and we dont atachally have a 'message sent' time in our forums. Let me explain, when i read a reply to a topic i want to be able to see how long ago it was written. So i say we should have a time and date at the botton of every post just so you know when it was posted.

i dunno why but my midi sound doesnt seem to be working, im trying to look for a driver but with no avail. Any help guys.

*edit* um well i was fiddleing about , as you do and umm i broke it. i now have no sounds what so ever  its not fair. i really dont know what i did, i was playing about with sounds on the systems tab and i broke summit. i updated a driver nd now i have no sounds. Does anybody know where you can find the letest windows drivers for sound devices? im using a sound blaster pro for my midi sound and a sb audio pci device.
