This guy is nuts and all of his games are trippy as hell. I opened a door, tried to talk to a little black man then a helicopter flew over and i fell into a pit of spikes :(

The style Ben goes for is a little tricky for a beginner, it's simple in theory but placing those lights can be a nightmare.

I would suggest sticking with the B+W pixel art for now, until you are comfortable drawing shapes with the tablet.

Plus that B+W background is a brilliant start, try adding a background to give it depth and play with some colours on a layer behind the hard pixels.

New background looks pretty smart! I would suggest changing the sign so it's square and tweaking the brightness a little, also try adding some foreground bushes.

You need to run as far away from enemy forces as possible, prone in a dark corner and call it in. Then just sit there and cover your back, i don't see how this would be any different on PC. It might be the retarded xbox controller but i just got 3 CG's in 5 games (then went 10-15 and rage quit  :=)

Wha..? 11 killstreak is simple, you're missing the key element of MW2, the chopper gunner. I assumed you were fairly new to the game when posting those classes, now you've gone prestige you must be able to appreciate how damn annoying those choppers are without coldblooded. just get 5 kills with the m16/famas (both are deadly accurate fyi) which as you know is piss easy if you're in a good flank and then call in predator. If you can get two kills with predator you've got your harriers, harriers will ALWAYS knock you up to chopper gunner if called in right.

The chopper gunner killstreak is invaluable, i've got 20+ kills in that thing, you can kill people quicker than they can pull out an anti-air rocket.

Anyway, sorry for running off topic.

InC, try these classes for instant pwn :P

M16 + holo sight/slight of hand pro, stopping power pro, steady aim pro - M16 is burst so conserves ammo which allows for the mighty SoH to do it's thing when you first run into someone = best all round class (you will at least break even on K/D with this class, every game)

Any SMG and any pistol with tactical knife/marathon pro, lightweight pro, commando pro - This class slaughters on small maps, just switch to the pistol and run around knifing EVERYONE. I've hit a 21 killstreak with just this loadout.

Any assault rifle with grenade launcher and the grenade launcher as secondary +claymore/scavenger, danger close, scrambler pro - Just camp and whack a claymore in an entrance behind you, sit there and fire off all your grenades at anyone who dares test you. You will almost always kill 1 player and then you can run to their corpse and get your loadout back, go back to camp and place the second claymore. Rinse and repeat.

Sorry to like 90% of the forums that think MW2 sucks  ;)

Gamers constantly improve, the amount of players that sit gaming for every spare hour daily is unnatural.

I have had to play for at least an hour each day to keep up my game on MW2, the competition improves constantly. A few weeks ago I didn't play for a weekend and sucked on monday, it's just how it is.

I think it's a matter of playing one game exclusively and keeping away from the others, i spent 3 years on cs 1.6 and would always come out of games at 30-2 etc but now i can barely touch 10-2.

It's all down to the different game mechanics, engines and speed if you ask me. It's like using a different inanimate object (lets say a rubber chicken with a pulley) in each separate tennis championship you enter. If you want to be a pwnz0rz choose the most popular FPS and stick to only that game, lets say... oh, MW2!?

Oh and hit me with a PM if you play on xbox -_-

Using 6 colours in a base palette and then using them to paint digitally is not using six colours, any way you look at it. What do i get if i mix red and blue? Blue and black?

Sprites aren't just specific to pixel art thought, it's a term used to describe any interactive media within a game; 3D included. Normally it's specific to two dimensional media but plenty of modern games call their interactive 3D objects sprites.

Idea: Al_Ninio - Surrealistic atmosphere and nice use of mixed resolution.
Technique: Tier - Lovely detail as always.
Usefulness: Tier - Good puzzle potential and playing area.

I gotta say that i don't like Goldfish, i thought i was the only one who noticed the arrogant aggressive tone to his posts, coined with trying to type every word in the english dictionary before getting his point across. There's no need for ego's in AGS, the point of the forum is to make everyone feel equal. Also, i can't help but feel that his old skinhead avatar made his persona feel that much more aggressive.

Goldfish, i suggest taking a more understanding approach to your posts. Not everyone is as computer-literate as you!

I have near thirty backgrounds made for this game, that's triple any other project i've failed to make.

Honestly, if you're going for a simple style then a Low res + small palette = more backgrounds. Pixels just look better because they follow a strict form, you proved that with the ugly vector mess you made of Domithan's background.

Plus if you're going to mash together google images they look much better in 320.

screw it, here's a quick 2 minute edit to prove my point.



That's just a resize, change of hue, tweak of brightness and contrast and then setting the mode to indexed colour with a Local(perceptual) palette. *edit- Made the floor darker and added some foreground, it's a lot easier to change bits when its in a low res.

My god, your trailer is fantastic! This looks right up my street! Absolutely perfect animations and a terrific amount of detail, i love the rain splashes.

I'm glad you're going commercial, i will most definitely buy it (feel free to hold me to that!).
