Miguel, just make two layers. One layer for the line art and one for the colour, if you play around with the layer overlay settings you will be able to simply paint onto the colour layer and it will overlay just your lineart over the top.

1 out of 11 isn't bad either you know  ;)

Congrats to both of you! Now get on the IGN home page.

Mad amount of detail! In both game design and artwork! I think that vector style portrait looks fine btw.

Best of luck with this!

Your game looks pretty smart Eddy, i like the amount of different locations and characters you've produced!

Awesome, i remember playing the crap out of this a few years back.

Great to see you're still active!

I don't see any harm in bumping in the popular threads board. I'm sure someone, somewhere is working on something like this.

It would be an unbelievable amount of work but it would be amazing to have a free roam city filled with a set amount of puzzles and items for players to find, with a server storing all the data... and a realtime in game public transport system! No mindless killing and car theft though, please.

Servers could run until the final end game puzzle was completed, which in order to complete should require ten or so players with individual items (collected throughout previous server playtime).

If any hardcore programmers want an artist to give this a go with, give me a shout.

This one is perfection imo, love the outline/colours on the advisory logos.

I think we're getting a little too anal about this.

ProgZ sprites are lovely, could do we being double sized.

If not just use red cups.

Cool little demo, lovely animations. Not too keen on the sprite scaling.  :=

Why didn't my gameboy look that good! Awesome Khris.

Try this:

You draw your limbs in paint and it will animate them for you.

Critics' Lounge / Re: DN Games: LOGO

The D takes up too much space loosing symmetry, it makes it look like the N is too far right.

I like the texture.

Think of it this way mate, every person who commented has played (or completed) your game. Each one of them thought it worthy of posting about and a lot of them even reviewed it.

Six pages! I'm betting all of those people will download and play your next game too. A very good response imo!

I think we're all waiting on this  ;)

Also, FPSCreator is shit due to the lack of low res support.

I agree with Progz, you need more contrast and another colour.

Also dirty green and orange are too close to one another on the colour wheel and are not regarded as complimentary (which isn't advisable for a website). Try replacing green with blue or just adding blue as a third base colour. Colours opposite on the colour wheel are considered as complimentary colours. See the image below for some ideas.

Also it's good to have a read up on colour theory.

As sad as this sounds i have to ask, does anyone play Modern Warfare 2 on the xbox?

I have like 2 active friends who play MW2 and they're both pants  :P

Give the player lots of easy to find inventory items to start with and give them two or three puzzles to attempt from the word go, make the puzzles come together as one to unlock a new set of area's/puzzles. Make sure the puzzles are logical and have a visual problem to solve, use close ups if you need to.

Quote from: Chicky on Fri 01/01/2010 20:07:34I don't really get it. Lets play, err... watch?

Surely sitting in your living room with a mate and playing a game irl is a lot more satisfying than just simply watching a recording of someone play one for hours?

Seems like you've done a tonne of work though ShiverMeSideways, good job on that!

Well, thanks, Chicky. I started watching LPs because I wanted to watch something quick in lieu of a movie that would drain me. Personally, I think watching a mate play a game is infinitely more boring, because I'd rather be playing with him the game or drinking or jumping out of a 10-story office block.

If people appreciate it and you enjoy it then it can't be a bad thing! I must admit i find myself watching video's of MW2 matches every once in a while.
