I don't really get it. Lets play, err... watch?

Surely sitting in your living room with a mate and playing a game irl is a lot more satisfying than just simply watching a recording of someone play one for hours?

Seems like you've done a tonne of work though ShiverMeSideways, good job on that!

Welcome to 2007  :=

Since my previous post on this thread i have completed BS3 and 4 and can say that they have nothing on the first two games, BS4 being worthless.

Also since this thread has been resurrected and the forums are somewhat more strict now, i recommend a move to adventure related.

I gotta say i prefer the pose in your version Neon, looks a lot more like Mr Stobbart! The leaning back and letting loose look it what makes him George, it's an awkward way to stand but its makes the character.

Take note of ProgZ's pixeling, he's got it right. Keep your versions chin though!

It doesn't have to be buddy, you can open video files in Photoshop.

Poundland forgives you and would like you to note that they do not accept refunds and do accept liability for any fire related injuries.

On another note it's 2am Christmas day here in the UK.

Merry Christmas everyone!

PS: Santa just left and he said that Chris Jones was on the naughty list?!

InC, drink and drive has always stood out to me, lovely backgrounds! You should finish that, i'm still working on GuardDuty and that was 2004!

I have all sorts of problems that i'm not going to go into but i find the best advice is to simply force yourself to work. Do it with the most pathetic amount of effort if you want but just go, don't think about it; do it. It really doesn't matter if you get one line of speech done in the editor or make a new animation frame, that's enough to say you've achieved something. If you think about it you had the motivation to spend 5 minutes posting on the forums so why not simply use that small amount of motivation to write 5 minutes of dialogue? I find that 8 times out of 10 that little bit of progression makes that small amount of motivation sky rocket.

Try it, close the browser after you read this post and spend the next five minutes writing something for drink and drive, plan out a new room or puzzle, or write up a brief overview of your story. See where it goes and post it up here on the forums.

You should play pleughburg: dark ages (sp?) Jakerpot.

I totally agree with M0ds on Monte Carlo vs Barnett college, it always struck me as a deserted college which was nothing like the packed hallways of Barnett in Last Crusade. The streets of Monte Carlo on the other hand were brilliant!

I just bought the videogame... Where can I get 3-d glasses???

You need an LED TV iirc and there are lots of different types of 3D glasses (red-blue,red-green,colorless tinted etc)

I find the best thing to do is to draw your backgrounds static and then once you have the characters, objects and music added test the game and see how it feels! I have gone back to quite a few backgrounds and added motion post scripting.

I find it's nice to have at least one thing animating each room, even if it's only a drip from a leaky roof or the slow flow of a river.

Hello far superior coders!

I have a simple problem that i don't really know what the best solution would be. I have 9 coins scattered across multiple locations, i simply want to have a number in the top right hand corner of the inventory graphics that increases when you collect each coin.

Would it be better to make 9 separate inventory items (each with unique graphics) and some sort of +1 script or is there an elite raw draw text scripting alternative? The coins can be collected in any order.

Thanks in advance!

Ben!

I finished it, loved every puzzle and thought they were all brilliantly logical! Busting out those rhymes felt very satisfying!
