Thanks man! It's an honor, i've always loved your work.

I'll be onto what you said, the next piece i'll be using some referance images for style and flow. I just can't stop myself working on my game atm.

But yeah, give me a day. Should have something done by then.

THIS is exactly what i'm aiming to go for with my current art. I would love you forever if you could give me a few pointers igor, feel free to check out my thread here:  http://www.adventuregamestudio.co.uk/yabb/index.php?topic=26400.0

And i think the image is just perfect as it is, would look nice with a background mind :)

got it working, thanks!

Ahh thanks Gilbot!

Okay so it turns out the last two palette slots are the ones for the background, and my buttons now work at changing them but what about my sprites? any reason why they dont change?

And when i exit the room wont the room colours go back to normal?

thanks again :)

How much are you looking for squinky?

Heh, well i've got a long way yet. So plenty of time to work on my skills. I'm doing a diploma in IT at the moment and by next summer i hope to be doing starting some sort of design course at uni.

But i will keep trying! I'm just experimenting with different styles really, seeing what i'm better at than others. This is probally one im not soo good at.

Okay so I've had a fair amount of help with this from Eric, using Ghormak's palette program i've managed to get mine sorted and all the colours are in the relevant slots and all seems to be working. But when i try to press my button to change the colours of the bg nothing happens. Here's the code:

  if (interface == OPTIONS) {
    // They clicked a button on the GUI

    if (button == 0) {
SetPalRGB (18,26,17,17) ;
SetPalRGB (19,63,29,13) ;
UpdatePalette () ;
    }

    if (button == 1) {
SetPalRGB (18,27,24,5) ;
SetPalRGB (19,58,55,35) ;
UpdatePalette () ;
    }

  }

and here's an image of the palette

Do you think it's possible that the background isn't linked with the colours in my palette and moreso link to the 'room dependant' colours?

All help is greatly apreciated, i really need to get this sorted this morning!

regards,

Yeah nice one, looks great.

we need some versions without the blur.

Heh thanks for the advice Mash Potatoe, i'll try that for the next one.

And LoRes, i don't mean for it to seem like i'm rejecting your critic but do you not notice the thing in her hand? My original idea was to have her walking across a log grabbing for an apple on a tree.

Mind you, i will take what you've said into mid for the next image. Stay tuned.

i didnt really think it was that needed.

And i was going for a free flowing style, Lo_res_man.

Or atlest fake vector. I've been playing around in photoshop.

here's my latest creation, a picture of my girlfriend:

what do people think? It was fairly easy to do and a good laugh. Looks quite professional to me too, think it's worthy to go in my portfolio? Would it appeal to professional advertising companies?

lots of questions :)

Kind regards

I think it is his own work, it's a lot less saturated than eboy.

Isometric adventure games could work, and i'd love to see it done.
