i like the idle frame. But the only thing that bugs me is the brown outline to his legs and feet. Try making the legs outline dark red and the shoe outline dark yellow.

General Discussion / ATI radeon?
Fri 27/08/2004 11:02:17
rather than starting a new thread i thought i'd post this here.

I am also looking into getting a new gfx card, as some of you already know. Now I'm looking for something that can handle half-life2 nice and smooth. With this in mind I've been looking into the radeon9600XT and 9800's, because both these cards come with a free half-life2 voucher. The only problem is... I cant find anywhere that actually states they have the voucher included!

There was one auction on ebay, for a 9600XT 256ddr going for £100 which stated that hl2 WAS included. But when it came time for me to bid i found out that paypal was aparently "experiencing difficulties". Which sucks because i couldn't buy the card and now the auction has ended. I've been searching for quite some time now, with no luck.

So i ask you, my good friends at agsforums. GO forth! and find me that perfect deal on the radeon with hl2 included.

My price range is >£100

*edit* well that was a pretty pointless post. I contacted the buyer and aparently it was his side of things that was messed up. He fixed it and now the gfxcard is in the post. 1st class delivery ^_^.

On a extra note. If anyone has any spare DDR ram i would buy willing to buy it off you.

how exactly have you pixelized him?
Well, mine looks more computer generated.  Yours looked (to me) more like a hand drawn image scanned in, rather than a pixel by pixel character.

Darth, i think he means the process of how you lowered the res of the character.

The Sprizzle Jum!

Ok, this months sprite jam subject is:

The worst neighbor EVER...

I want to see the kind of person you would absoloutly detest living near, in their living enviroment.

*TOPIC - Draw what you would think is the WORST neighbor ever.
*SIZE - Anything less than 200 x 200 pixels
*COLOURS - 256 Colours
*SUGGESTIONS

Why not the boy next door? having the most popular guy live next to you, resulting in every time one of your *female friends* come over they become head over heel's in love with him. Or vicar versa if you're female.

Good luck, i look forward to seeing the entries. Which must all be in by the third of September.[/b][/blue]

Well, its 30 minutes 'till i go down to school and get my results. I watched a program about a bunch of teens getting their GCSE results when i was about eight. I was looking forward to the procress :/

Anyway, I'm hoping for the best, and ill post up my grades (if positive) when i get back.

*edit*

i got the results, I'm pretty happy,  9 C grades, one B grade. I got an E in Religious study (pass :D)

ohh and a F ... damn those spanish :)

True... although im sure the radeon is more reliable or somthing... its an extra £40 afterall. Im quite surprised that you can get a card that supports bumb mapping at such a low price as £32.
