So, who watched the Sony conference yesterday?

They have revealed the PS4, with featured such as live streaming of your play session to remote devices, high end graphic capabilities, the ability to play games whilst they download and a system with a one touch boot that continues your previous session state (much like the DS).

Media Molecule (the minds behind little big planet) have created a game based on sculpting assets with the move controller and using these to create a game, they had an amazing demo of their team using the move controllers to animate 3D puppets.

There is a very nice looking title called Deep Down with a superb set sequence featuring a dragon and lots of pretty particle effects.

There's a lot more, links are up on most gaming sites. Go check out the next generation of gaming, looks like Sony may be back on top!

Eager to hear people's opinions here, I'm a sucker for Playstation, would like to hear some opinions from those less easily impressed :)

Anyone got any tips for losing these man boobs? I don't care about the rest, but damn dem titties.

My personal tip involves moving the sweets further away from the keyboard.

Get on Herman Toothrot's Quest.

I've actually been working on finishing one of my first AGS projects, so maybe i can finally give something back. I've invested many man hours, so it's going to be pretty face melting awesome. After this, WHO KNOWS!

An all time favorite for me has to be the piano puzzle from Silent Hill. You find yourself hacking away at it, running through many different approaches before finally reaching the correct solution. The room containing the puzzle evokes a feeling of solace in a game where you are expected to get lost in an elementary school that is filled with groaning disfigured children. This is a strong motivator for persevering with the puzzle, the solution is written on the wall and everything you need to finish the puzzle is right there at your fingertips - but damn, it takes a while! There is blood across the piano keys and on the whiteboard is a poem written in blood, the poem tells a tale of birds without a voice and some of the piano keys are muted. The solution is hidden in the writing, with lines like 'first flew the Pelican, eager to win with white wings flailing'.

Spoiler:
Spoiler
hit the first white key (that is muted)

A great game, with a ridiculous hidden ending.

Haha! I found this course a couple of weeks ago when looking for decent digital painting stuff, i have to admit it made me a little angry so i posted a semi-nasty comment, warning people away from the tutorial.

Comment was gone the next day (surprise!). So yeah, what Khris said.

Tonight we drink to Dualnames!

Ugh, try doing a 640x200 scrolling room with -only- pixels. There is no way it is quicker than digital painting ._.

Good question, i would imagine it's the length of the game on a first playthrough, point and click are typically quite short so i guess the time makes sense for an indie title.

This is why i plan to have a 10 hour intro cutscene, with no skip :=

So this isn't actually a Wii-U title? Pretty dumb choice of name := The art assets are all over the place, some nice background concepts but not a lot else? It's a shame Kickstarter has been flooded with this kind of thing, i'd much rather support someone who has already finished half the project on their own. Bah, i'm just bitter because i've wanted to make a kickstarter page for years.
