Looks great Frito. You're not far off, 3 more locations, a couple characters + an intro and you've got yourself a game! Better to release a short game than let all those assets go to waste, trust me. Great atmosphere btw.

Aqala, very interesting theory! If Peter MolyFaux actually pulls through with one of his promises, then you may well be right. I think it's safe to say his originality died with Black and White, i'm guessing he watched The Box and stole the idea. I find him quite irritating :)

Wow, the art style for the new screenshots looks brilliant. I really like the predominantly white backgrounds, the crosshatching and graph paper look is a winner! Your story sounds very interesting, if a little hard to read. Did you develop all the art yourself Nefasto?

ahhhaha, Ponch :D

I digress, Bendislav, could you at least hum jaunty tunes for twenty minutes?

Congratulations Janet and Dave :) Be sure to backup all game projects to a remote server, far far away!

Awesome trailer i like the quick cuts, they go very well with the music. Who edited this one?

Really enjoyed the demo guys, some genuinely freaky scares in there which you don't often get, even in AAA titles. Fantastic sound design, looking forward to the release!

Watching Felix jump resulted in me having a pretty weird dream, it wasn't scary so to speak, but i was constantly stuck in that moment when you've committed to the jump but haven't quite started falling. So it was a night of vertigo, which sure beats dreaming about hot girls avoiding my penis :D

I was waiting for something interesting to happen, anything really. Is this an animation exercise? I see they didn't make the model themselves, not sure what else to comment on :S

I want a polkadot horse ^^

*edit: Went for bright green :) A fun game, i fell into the trap of spending all my gold on the horse then having to sell it again to be able to clean my stable.

I personally hate it when i choose a dialogue option and the character says something different. Like in Mass Effect when you pick something badass to say and your character doesn't have the balls to say it. I like the idea of having options for the tone of your response, but this could backfire if the gameplay is dependant on picking the right response. I'm also not a fan of persistent dialogue options that you can ask the same character multiple times, i like the options to disappear once they've been chosen.

AGS Games in Production / Re: Skumring

Looks like a lot of work has gone into this SeamanNaranja! Great job with the graphics, the objects and characters fit in very nicely. Pretty website too, that banner image ties it together nicely. I wish you the best with your release!

I have found with my current project that it helps to develop the world in that your game is set first. So you decide on the theme of your game and start sketching out ideas for places the player can visit to achieve their goal. Sometimes it can be good to plan the intro as this helps you get a better understand of what you're games about, but simply trying to explain it to a friend will quickly give you an idea of how developed your ideas are.

Seeing as it's your first game i would suggest having the main story arc be about the player and his epic journey to escape the room.

I had the pleasure of beta testing Volume 1 and it is the most charming AGS game i have played to date! Only four pounds, buy it now!

Confessions is good, also Marebito and Dreamhome. The first death scene in Dreamhome is a bit tasteless, it was too much for me but you may enjoy it Mouth for war. Shamefully i quite liked A Serbian Film, not for the content but the artsy camera work and the terribly uncomfortable atmosphere. I won't watch it again in a hurry.
