Afterparty! Now we're talking :=

Is 'theSynapse' the guy who was dissing 320? He's in my bad books (wrong)

Also welcome to the forums ;)

heh, i think i've got it. That was fun :=

Also a bit sad.

I'm really hyped for this, Half-life has a campaign that beats every other FPS i've played, the perfect balance between scripted sequences, puzzle design, weapon progression and player satisfaction. Shame about the lack of Xen but this does mean that valve can finally release Half-life 3. :=

I sure hope this is still in production! D'you have any updates for us Ghost? :)

Well the 3rd episode is out on all platforms. Played it through and...again some choices you are presented with are not accurate in what result they'll bring (the tone of the written line and what the characters says is sometimes contradictory), that kind of messed me up on a couple of occasions.
Still continuing their trick of how to keep the number of branching stories low, by getting rid of characters and introducing new ones. To be honest I haven't played it thorough more than once (maybe I'll do that when the whole game comes out) so I'm not yet sure which characters might have been saved, but I doubt it.
Spoiler
I'm guessing I could've saved Carley instead of Ben, but I'll go along with this scenario

As far as I've seen on the end statistics screen, it seems the choices are ambiguous almost to perfection, since the decisions are kept near the 50%...I'm guessing that's good work on the writer's part. The story is getting interesting, though it's the middle on so it's also kind of meandering a lot.

I agree with this, completely. I'm not a fan of the latest episode. I did a lot of replays to try and change one of the story arcs, it was completely unavoidable.

Just dropped some money your way via my good friend Simon! Downloading now :=

*edit* Patchwork is awesome! A very charming little adventure. I think Ilyich did a fantastic job in establishing a world in which the player is instantly involved in, with some really charismatic characters. The artwork was beautiful and i really liked the animation at the end! Making my way through PISS now.

'it's in 2D' *shows concept with 3D characters*

I can't believe they could make such a monumental cock up, the characters look awful and the animation belongs in the 90's! This is not what i expect from an independently developed Broken Sword title, 1 and 2 are masterpieces, 3 was somewhat bearable and 4 was a joke. The beauty of broken sword was in the production value, hollywood standard animation and beautiful hand drawn backgrounds. Why show the storyboards, the concept art, hell they even showed a flic book animation of George, if you're just going to stick in some cop out 3D renders? Surely 90% of that development team can see that poorly animated 3D characters in a hand painted 2D environment stick out like a sore thumb.

I'm sorry if i come across a little riled up, but this is a massive disappointment.

Awesome, i like the idea. Optional goals are always a good thing when it comes to point and click. The premise reminds me of a HL2 mod called The Stanley Parable. If you havn't heard of it you should check it out, watch a let's Play on youtube, it's rather short!

Weekends are for sleep and recording podcasts, not working on the ranch! Ben i will pay you two great british pounds.

Yep, Paypal are crafty. It's no biggie, i'll just hijack a friends account when the opportunity arises. Congrats on the release!
#431
Nooo! Not paypal!

Urg, Paypal are useless. A while ago they 'limited' my account, stopping me from logging in whilst preventing me from using my cards with any other Paypal services.

Is there an alternative m0ds? I would like to throw some cash. :)

I'll be coming! AGA's location looks super slick, but lacks a bar. To amend this i plan on bringing Labrini and those posh tall glasses that are too small to drink out of. This way we can all dress up and pull funny faces when sipping from our small glasses! I'm exited.

Really enjoyed it, much better than Batman Begins (thank goodness!) TDK was a hard film to follow.

Ohh, two colour Herman  ;-D Babar and i are working on it. Well, 'working'. We need to kick-start production (not that Babar hasn't tried!) I keep telling him i have another project to finish first  := I can't concentrate on more than one, it makes me stir crazy!

I'm still waiting on Time Out by Mr Eric Colossal!! The intro cutscene was so pretty! God damn, i want that game.

Also, Purity of the Surf 2.

Thanks for the update Mark! Kinky Island is looking great, despite the video quality I can't wait to get my sweaty palms all over it.

Ben Jordan - the editing is really tight! I liked the shot where he finds 'the occult establishment'.

Did i hear the humble scratch of a clipper flint? What next, bong hits? :=

The colours remind me of Google Chrome.

I just finished episode two, really loved the ending, the lighting added a lot in the shot through the door. I felt the second episode had a bit more choice and consequence, not sure i did as well as in the first.

Apparently i was with just 18% of players for one of the choices (which i would presume has a fair bit of impact on the story), i messed up :=

A bit more interaction would be nice and the control scheme isn't very well suited to PC gameplay, but i'm enjoying it!

Chicky: looking great! I love the soft colours and precise pixel art, good luck with that release date!  :)

Thank you Ilyich, i try so very hard to keep all my pixels clean. Messy little pups :D As you know i think your summerbatch contribution looks grade A awesome!

Snake: Yes!! Castle of Fire!

Andail: Lots of atmosphere in each one of those shots, the aquarium is a nice touch. I look forward to your GIP thread, and a little more info on the story!

ProgZ: HBB looks great, you have the retro look down to a fine art. The music is perfect.

Ali: Take my money already!

Adder: You have style! I can't wait to hear a bit more, i'm interested in seeing how you go about adding colour to the backgrounds

First i would like to say, all really really cool contributions this year. I sort of have two somethings. The first, a work in progress of my most recent background, player character and a sneak peek at a GUI concept!

Secondly the news that i am working on the above game and that i am very confident about a 2012 release date! Heh, yay for releasing lines of text :=
