Mark, are you arranging a quiz this year? I've got a crummy prize ('course that depends on who gets it) to donate ;).

Excellent, thanks Nacho. Another solution, as Grundislav suggested, would be to get up early, take an afternoon nap and stay up late.

Madrid? That's where my flight stops along the way. I did mean Barcelona obviously.

Farlander, I am slightly worried about the tent-sauna situation that will occur in the mornings since there won't be any protection from the sun at the campsite. Found out just recently because the campsite-images led me to believe there would be trees n stuff to like in Agia Anna (have to suit myself for not checking properly). It's not that big a deal if there was nothing that could be done about this. But if there are special areas of the camp located under trees it would be great if you could book us those particular spots. Alternatively, if you can somehow obtain party tents for a fair price (something like this http://outdoor-leisure-garden-furniture.co.uk/uploadimages/party-tents-and-gazebos(1).gif ) that would be awesome.

If Goldmund intends to travel on after Mittens rather than going back in the same direction that would mean you'd have to take the train back to Madrid if that's where you guys are flying home from. Just thought I'd bring it up in case it wasn't thought about. Would be a bummer if you had to order traintickets at the camp and find them sold out (although that'd be unlikely).

hah, I had completley forgotten I had that. I have much better high-res versions of those photos though and many more.

I don't think I have my photos hosted anywhere anylonger, but remind me and I'll send you what I have from 2003 and 2005.

Well I don't have a big tent, it would fit two people and some luggage. Three people would make it comparable to a can of sardines.

You say single tents but think groups of three should share them? I'm a bit confused :P. I wouldn't mind paying 28â,¬ for a tent for the week.

I agree with Petteri, I also want to travel light. That's why I'd rather rent or buy a tent down there.

In a tent of 2:
Farlander and Lorena
Adam and Becky
Goldmund and Blazej.

Hooray! Split personalities! This is going to be the best Mittens ever!

General Discussion / Re: Roskilde anyone?

Came back from the festival earlier today. I've always disliked festivals because of all of the junk that piles up around the camping area, but things were very well organized and it was being cleaned all the time by festival personel. Either way I would've gone this year because there were just too many bands I wanted to see. Met alot of great people and the music was excellent so I really enjoyed myself.

Highlights for me were Tool, Roger Waters, Franz Ferdinand (I like their music but the live act was so much fun) and an african guy by the name of Ba Cissoko (I think) who kicked some serious ass together with his band. Other great shows I saw were Front 242 (horribly cheesy dancing by guys in their late 40's dressed in horribly cheesy clothes = excellent!), Editors, Death Cab For Cutie, Bob Dylan and part of a Coldcut-show. Also saw Josh Rouse, Babar Luck, Morrissey and Sigur Ros but neither left much of an impression.

I have a shite tent that I do not want to bring. I'll most likely buy or rent one down there. If I get a big enough one I could share it with you, Grundislav. Or rather I would have if you'd been the farting kind!!!

I don't snore either. At least, I've never been told I do.

Markypoo: Great to hear you'll be at this years mittens after all! I promise I'll be more careful what I take photos of this year for my own sake ;)

General Discussion / Roskilde anyone?
Tue 27/06/2006 16:46:36
Just curious about if anyone else here is going to the Roskilde-festival in Denmark this year? If so, perhaps we can meet up. Leaving tomorrow.

Very nice to hear you guys will be there for sure!

Most likely there is. But even if there was no such rule I don't think anyone, especially not the English team, would like to face the wrath afterwards of all the supporters who paid to see the game.

Then at the end, everyone will be handed a razor and the challenge of shaving off everyone elses moustaches. The one who's collected the most facial hair wins a prize! This will take the place of m0ds' usual quiz since he's not sure if he's coming or not.

What are you going to do after all this? Move back to Sweden or stay in Brighton?

Only a few weeks ago it jumped from freezing to like 20-25 C here but now it's gone down to 10-15 and it rains alot.

I really think you should finish. After all Petter said it we should record however we wanted.

My entry was supposed to be serious. I recorded it with a cold and it sounded terrible. Recorded it again, altering my voice (combined with the cold it sounds quite funny). Also, I recorded it using my mp3-player which resulted in electric humming noises going on in the background, I ended up hiding it behind a echo delay effect.

Also, those ping-pong sounds are actually hands clapping and finger-snapping. Halfway through the song I forgot the last two verses and had to record the singing for that separatley. Wasn't very careful about syncing it properly, hence the ping-pong sounds.

Took about an hour or two to make it, would probably have spent more time had I not been in such a bad mood because of the cold.

Haha! Doesn't seem like there will be any flattering entries.

Eggie: I tried downloading that mp3 by saving it to the HD but it came out only 17kb and wouldn't play. I also tried clicking the link directly but it just sent me back here.
