I found a bug, the second time I tried to fast forward the tape to the end, the guard used the remote control to fix it but then he didn't return to his sitting view, instead he remained standing and oddly changed when I spoke to him. Please check that out.
How long did it take to make this game? It looks awesome, I wish I could draw like that! Everything looks so perfect that I can't criticize it. :P
I didn't undestand the emergency exit alarm puzzle, though, I just solved it 'mechanically', did I miss some hint that explained it?
Make the English version quickly so the rest of the AGS members can enjoy this excelent game as well, but if you are a bit tired... mejor tómate un descanso! ;D

Hello, Kairus, thanks for your comments. I'll check the bug you mentioned, probably something I let slipped in.

The game took almost one year to do if we count since the day I started (somewhere in Jan '03). I got a loooong vacation between Jan and Feb (which NO ONE in the country loved), and after that, college, classes, and other things in my life had stucked the development of the game. Just two weeks in August, another week in Sept, and all this December were dedicated to the game as well. If we only count the working days, I could say the game was done in around 4 months.

Regarding the backgrounds... well, that was pencil work, scanning them, tracing them... You can check MrColossal tutorials about that... Quite good.

The emergency exit alarm could be understood if you talked to the guard. :P

:) I'm pleased to announce the english version of Tómate un descanso.  :)

Please follow the link at the beginning of this thread. (Here you are if you're too lazy)  In the configuration, you can set the Default language (Spanish), or the English translation.

NOTE: I still have a bug where the sentence doesn't translate completely to english. I'll fix this eventually, I just wanted to give you the translation of the game (Attending petitions :)). I hope you enjoy it.

It was some string stuff... Nothing too complicated, I already did that... I have almost a third part of the translation, hope university doesn't catch me with classes :P...

I've updated the game with the outline thingy... enjoy ;)

Say, I was wondering - could I maybe do a Portuguese translation of the game?

It's possible to do a portuguese translation. Although, I have to do two things first: fix some things in the game (there are some texts embedded in the script, I'm going to take them to room messages), and finish the english translation (your work is going to be easier  :D). There would be also need to do some graphic work (The title and the main menu).

In short: I'll finish the english translation, and then we can talk about translations.  :)

Thanks everyone for your comments!

I have a comment... you know that AGS 2.6 allows you to add outlines to TTF fonts... you should do that because I can barely read the text  :o

Mmm... I didn't know that... I didn't upgrade it because the game has gone through... 3 different minor versions of AGS :)... I'll check the new version, though... Thanks for the tip

EDIT: Isn't CJ Christ Jesus???, the outline works just as I imagined  ;D ;D ;D

I use Avast! from Alwil... They have a free license for home computers... It's not Norton (which, because a windows-like syndrome,  is widely attacked by virii), and it has automatic updates, and those nice thingies...

It also has a kinda cool interface, for those who dig for that thing :)

Hints & Tips / FoA Stones alignment help
Mon 15/12/2003 01:47:15
Hello everyone:

I'm stuck in Fate of Atlantis... it seems that my interpretation of the Lost Dialogue is wrong :(, the text says this:

QuoteTo approach Atlantis itself a Worldstone was required as well, with darkest night soon to rule the western sea

I'm in the Map Room, and I'm trying to align the three stones, the Sunstone in 'darkness', the Moonstone in 'new moon', and the Worldstone in 'west sea', but it doesn't happen anything...

I could try a brute force, but my patience is limited... any ideas about the alignment?  Thanks a lot!

Mine:

As Ciro, you are entitled to rule the world, and you will find any means to make it.

Ha, only a joke, this is the real one: :)

Brief summary of your name

Quote
Your name of Ciro has created a most expressive nature, idealistic and inspirational, driven with a strong inner urge to be of service in some way that would uplift humanity as a whole. However, there is a tendency to assume too heavy a burden of responsibility for others, which leads to worry and undue concern. People with problems are drawn to you as they recognize you as one who has understanding and gives not only sympathy and comfort but provides also some constructive advice or assistance. You have a generous quality to your nature, but you must guard carefully against giving more than you receive or you will find yourself doing without because you have helped someone else.

Mmmm. That's quite true, to say the least :P

I agree.  Many nice things, no content... I keep myself with the first one, the other two can really burn the tapes...

There's a bit in Indy: TLC where to avoid the blades in the temple you have to click exactly on a pixel. Luckily though, they made it bright red or something. LOL.

m0ds

But m0ds, that's in the 256 colors version. I played a long time ago the 16 colors version, and it didn't have that spot!, you had to really guess the spot :P

w00t, remixor is teh bigfoot!!!!!!11!!  :P

My wardrobe is usually composed of what my parents and other people give me, I don't care too much about my clothes, as long as they're not ripped, or too old (and the colors combine :)).
