I wholeheartedly agree with Nemo.  The game is charming and witty and the voice acting angle is delightful.  Looking forward to seeing more of Woo!

As sorceress, in Nidvallir, used blink/teleport to go from the top of the cavern to the bottom and got this error:  Module2.asc line 1412, from room102.asc, line 164,  DynamicSpriteResize: width and height must be greater than zero.

Playing sorceress, in Svartalfheim, trying to complete the sliding puzzle in Andvari's house:  The block that looks like an electrical ground *might* indirectly connect to the leads on the right, and the one with nine blue dots on a circle *might* indirectly connect to the one at the bottoms, and the triangle might represent Nidraller and maybe that has to connect directly to the lead on the right, and my brains are fried.  Can I get a hint?

Playing as sorceress, killed the Haugbui, spoke to Aurvendal, and nothing...  what am I supposed to do to get the reward?

Where did you pickup/buy Frost Bolt?

Spoiler
Getting past Thrivaldi depends on which class you're playing. As a Warrior, you must use one of the skills which is characteristic of a Warrior.
Spoiler
Something involving Animal Ken.
Spoiler
Get a Fox and use it to fetch your items.

Okay, I'm playing the sorceress.  How am I supposed to get my stuff back?

One other question, after the rescue in svartalfheim, giants roam the Jarnvidr.  I get *stomped* in every battle against giants.  Did I rush to the rescue?  Was I supposed to "level up" more beforehand?  Will something tip the balance in my favor?  Or, should I stick to my strategy of running for my life?

LTGiants2000:
Spoiler
One of them should turn on (it was the 3rd from the left I believe). I don't know if the game lets you do this before you're supposed to though. Did you get the Find Heime quest? Did you learn about the stone circle in the game?
Maybe it is different for the magic user, I haven't played as one yet.

Yea the 3rd one says it's warm to the touch. But then what?

Spoiler
You have to touch them in the correct order, always walking clockwise.  3 6 1 4 5 2  But don't bother until AFTER you've talked to the captain in Fortigtuna and bought mead.

(Playing as sorceress)  How do I activate the circle of stones to get into Svartalfheim?  I can turn on all of the standing stones, but then... nothing.  Apparently I was supposed to talk to the librarian, but the book is checked out and I cannot find out by whom.  Neither can I solve his riddle.  (Yes, I translated it.)

Any suggestions?

AprilSkies,

Okay, I have the following list of tasks I need to accomplish...
Spoiler

Find an expert - living, dead, or inanimate - on horse riding.
Find an expert on wine
Open Von Salad's windows - WITHOUT using the hammer
Get my hands on the vacuum cleaner
I assume somewhere along the line I'll get a lead on the three other map pieces
Presumably, I'll get Pinocchio and figure out what to ask the Admiral.

I've talked to everyone, and could really use a hint - or three -  on what to do next.

Chess Board Puzzle

Spoiler

I have to find pen and ink pot to give to the architect to get the plans to get the bridge completed.
I have find a wine expert to tell me the best year of wine so I can get the corkscrew.
Somehow I have to get the ghosthoover from the vampire - no idea on this one currently.

I assume the puzzle I can complete with my existing items is the chessboard.  So, *if* I interpreted the menu hint correctly, I've set the pieces up as:

B8: White rook
F7: White king
B6: Black knight (Was this space supposed to be A6?)
H7: Black king
F6: White bishop

That looks like it's one move from MATE, but nothing happens?  Where did I fumble?

Once again, I'm stuck.

Spoiler

I *assume* that I need to beat GOLIATH in a head-butting contest in order to get the gold coin, to trade to the leperchaun, to get the hammer, to give to MacGeyser, to get the Polaroid (maybe), to create a fake ID, to get a beer, to get access to the arcade and the church.  Obviously I challenged the Barker brothers to a bet and lost.  Then I promptly reloaded from a previous game to avoid losing the silver spoon - I only have one item made of silver.

Now, I've been in the kitchen and gotten the meatloaf.  I've tried to talk the happy couple into a divorce and failed, but after that I have no idea how I'm supposed proceed.  Preventing blunt force trauma to the skull of your average octogenarian is not something that presents a ready solution.

April Skies,

The game is beautifully drawn, with an original main character, and clever dialog.  I cannot believe the talent that went into the creation of this game.

My only complaint is the lack of "failed" responses.  If something doesn't work, I have to guess why.

For example...
Spoiler

I need to get the shears away from Malachi, and he sets them down on the wheel barrel - a convenient adventure game setup.  However, when I try to swap out the shears with any other item, there's nothing to suggest why it fails, nor which item should be used in its place.

Again, I am greatly enjoying the game.

Okay, I have the shears and I've been to the well. However, I have no idea what I do next.  I cannot find the hammer, but I assume it's at the bottom of the well.  I cannot get the Polaroid to make a fake ID.  (Now, I'm assuming that's how I get the job done.)   The architect does not show up at the fountain.  (His nose seems to be pretty distinctive.)  I cannot figure out how to get the kid off the swing.  (Atari, maybe?)

Any pointers?

AprilSkies,

Thanks, I swear I tried every combination EXCEPT that one.

Okay, I've been in Delano's room, picked up the ghost detector and gotten out of the rooms.  Now I've spoken to two ghosts and I need to get the shears from the gardener (Malachi?)  I keep on trying to swap one item for his shears after he sets them down, but nothing I try gets *ANY* response from the game.

Spoiler

I'm assuming I need the shears to cut up the painting, to make a fake ID, to get a beer, and to get into the church and the arcade room.

Anyone have any hints?

Spoiler

Made it into Delano's room.  Got the suitcase open but still cannot escape the room.  So, I assume I have to get the safe open.  I tried every # on his driver's license, and every combination I imagined could be hidden in the knick-knacks.  Safe is still locked tight.  What am I missing?

Completed Game Announcements / Re: Magic Owl

A visual/musical experience!  Surreal, yet relaxing.

One LITTLE suggestion: I wanted the owl to just wander endlessly when I hit space, letting me take over only when I wanted.

Mandle,

WOW!  I have to agree, this is a wonderful way to make a book available to younger generations!  My daughter was drawn to the computer and enjoyed playing it.  Though, apparently your average twelve year old has no idea how to spell PLAID.

Of course, now I have "The Mad Scientists Club" and "The Three Investigators" rolling around inside my head as possible game ideas.

Downloaded the game and having a lot of fun with it.

BUG:  I had the "Star Log" open when I clicked on the C-Panel and it locked the game up.

WOW!  You really stepped up your game.  [pun intended]
