Wow thanks guys! If anyone knows a photoshop trick to fix the castle/temple let me know. (it's on it's own layer) BTW I'll be making a tutorial for a school assignment. Would you guys like a forest tutorial, or a town tutorial, like in this pic?

How's this looking? Would a whole town like this look good? BTW I know the temple in the background is a bit out of proportion! ::)

This may be a dumb question, but does AGS have it's own animation editor? If not, what does everyone else here use to animate sprites for AGS? I haven't had the time to play around with AGS yet, so i'm just looking for a quick answer! Thanks!

Wow, so much to do! First thing's first though, I made my own foliage brush in photoshop. It's a regular looking leaf, the kind you'd think about other than a maple leaf. I've used my brush and the photoshop default brush to compare. I think there isn't a huge differance, but I'll be using my own brush from now on after I edit it a bit more:

Oh right, I've played with that filter before. I hope my use of the foliage brush isn't too unoriginal looking. I turn the size down to 6 so it no longer looks like a maple leaf but rather a random leafy feel. Should I develop a more original brush?

I've actually tried to use the same settings as the foliage brushes with different brush patterns... most ended up looking pretty much the same so I stuck to the default. I'd like to make a brush with more smooth edges, like an oval .. first I have to figure out how to make my own brushes... someday!

What's Len's Flare BTW? Poser is 3D characters or something like? I'll do some research!

Yeah, I have no idea on how to fix those rocks either... I'll just leave it until later for the final art.
Oh and my buildings are 3d models with texture!  :) I draw a 3d structure with just lines then add texture! I'll try to fix those problems with the edges though! Thanks guys!

I did this scene a few months ago. It was my second pic I made for the game:

Now here's my new one!

(I like the second one better!)  :)
Enjoy!

BTW I learnt how to do my scenes from Todd Zankich's tutorials:

The way I do it is different I feel however.

Hmmm I just use the multiply tool in photoshop with a low opacity for shading on buildings...  grass and trees however take a bit longer

I was trying to go for something like this:

http://www.2dadventure.com/ags/glory17.jpg

Kinda like random shapes jutting out from the stone. I don't know if there was christianity in QFG... not too sure... the monastary in this pic was devoted to the dark one. I'd like this one to be devoted to something similar. Not really a god kinda deal. But then again, this pic has no background for the game yet. I just wanted to draw something like this. Do you think the symbols on the walls need some work in portraying jutting out stone?
Thanks for the examples and advice!

Ya, i haven't taken the hint yet that my rocks need improving! Next pic for sure. Luckely it should be easy to smooth the rocks in all my pics. They do look too "wrinkly".
Thanks for the comments. Monastary it is!
What's a Mausoleum?
