When was that, and where and on what did you have it saved?

I started replaying it on my retro DOS/W95 rig around 5 years ago, but after a while I transferred the save to my everyday PC, when I found out Wizardry series is available on Steam! Best of all it features both the DOS version and the Gold re-release!

Oh man, that reminds me of an unfinished Wizardry 7 save of mine... I had plans to reach to the end and then import the save to Wizardry 8 to continue the adventure. :(
And speaking of...

Ultima Worlds of Adventure 2: Martian Dreams. :D I'd say the Ultima franchise as a whole should make its glorious comeback (Shroud of the Avatar wasn't quite what I expected, sadly).

The first Journeyman Project, as it was the very first PC game I've ever played - I remember being really impressed by the 'photorealistic graphics' back then. Not to mention it sparked my general interest in adventure games!

Ultima VII was an absolute shock for me, as (an almost) fully open world, highly immersive cRPG was something unheard of back then. And of course I totally loved it, despite playing like crap (hey, I was a little kid...) and getting lost on the large map every now and then.

Croc, MDK and Little Big Adventure 2 left a huge impact on me, as these were the first 3D games I played, and I absolutely loved each one of them. On the other hand, Curse of Monkey Island captured me with its beautiful 2D animation, gorgeous visuals and great writing/humor.

Final Fantasy VII - I played it shorty after it was released in the west, and it blew my little mind away. Also Sonic Adventure, as I was seriously impressed by the 3D hi speed action and cinematic segments (orca chase in Emerald Coast, snowboarding in Ice Cape, running down the building in Speed Highway...)

I decided to cut the resolution of these in half, as this page would take ages to load on a slower connection. :X

If everything goes according to keikaku the plan, then we'll some some news for you. (usually it didn't, but we're cautiously optimistic this time).

It's so awesome to see this running on AGS. And hey, the more dinosaur games (especially of AGS point 'n click variety) the better! :D
So hyped for this, hope you'll reach that goal in no time! And best of luck with the development!

I don't know if stuff like this gives me the motivation to get better or if it makes me want to give up completely on game making. Both, probably (laugh)

Oh no, motivation, definitely! We don't want anyone to give up on their gamedev adventures - instead we want everyone to succeed! :-D

Anyway, some more updates incoming!

Oh, and we've also surpassed 16k sprites... Never thought the final frames are going to take this much space!

As a somewhat of a Sonic fan, I really do wonder why they went with the super realistic uncanny valley look, when they just could've gone with the more stylized design choice. I mean, he's a cartoon hedgehog from another planet/dimension, he doesn't have to look all realistic with human proportions and whatnot. I mean, why not this

or this

or even this, if you still want to keep the revised look, but much less creepy and off-putting.

Another part of me also wonders why even going with the live action CGI movie to begin with. I mean, sure, it's the newest Hollywood fad and everybody and their grandmas have to do it, but the CGI cutscenes in games like Sonic Unleashed, or even the dreaded 2006, were really amazing and proved Sonic can work very well in an 3D animated flick - I wish they'd just gone with the normal 3D animated movie instead. Especially considering Unleashed had a pretty solid world and character (almost Pixar-like) design...

Haha, we're definitely won't be topping master class like Curse of Monkey Island or Gibbous in terms of animation, but we're trying out best. :D Thanks so much for the kind words Ghost and Hobo!

Man, we've reached the excitement zone, as we can slowly see the finish line on the horizon... But anyway, enjoy some more of the animations for the meantime:

Also - here's our Pokede- I mean, dinosaur encyclopedia! You'll have the chance to learn some actual dino facts about these guys as you play!

Truly a delight to play, love it so far. :D Big congratulations on the release, man!

It's a 3D game alright, but nope, not Descent. :)

A little example of how we're handling animations in ZA - it's the entire process, from a rough sketch, through the line test, all the way to the finished frames!

Yup, not only it was quicker, LBA2 also had shortcuts to quickly change the behaviour - they really helped, especially during the platforming/combat parts!

Alright, let's keep the ball rolling:

Hey, I played a demo of it on a shareware CD too!
It wasn't until many MANY years later, when I finally got to play the full version. I never saw it in shops you see. (Probably because by the time I got that shareware CD, the game was way too old.)

I still have that shareware CD too. It also had a demo of Dungeon Keeper on it, and cultivated my love of that game as well. Thankfully I managed to find Dungeon Keeper in a shop.
Ah good times.  :-D

I seriously miss these kind of CDs. That particular one with LBA2 demo was legendary for me, as it featured a ton of other amazing games, including a demo of MDK, CoMI, Adventures of Lomax and many, many more great games.

It's also a much longer game and contained a larger variety of stuff too, and the controls were a bit improved.

My only complaint regarding LBA2 was
Spoiler
the jumping mechanics, they didn't work very well with the rotational/tank controls, especially considering Twinsen's amazing swimming abilities. Also I was rather sad when I found out you couldn't visit most of the Twinsun's islands from LBA1! But on the other hand we did get 2 entirely new planets (or rather a planet and a moon), so I guess it's a fair deal. :D
