Quote from: Cyrus on Mon 14/07/2025 02:28:25Slime Quest 2: Battle for Burgers demo is found!

Does anyone happen to have:

Lone Case 4: Epitaph
The Story of Joijo

Lone case 4 https://u.pcloud.link/publink/show?code=XZoHlB5ZB9KXsp1Kq872NeqUKV1mCj8vctek

No luck with the other one, I'm not sure if the dev released it to the public or just shared with a few forum members?

Thank you very much! Does it run normally for you? I see that it starts in the middle (rather than the beginning), and crashes afterwards.

Unfortunately nope, this is more of a museum than an actual game. I don't even know if you can solve any puzzles there.

The project is officially cancelled, but what exists of the game can be downloaded here:

Or played online here:

Apologies for bumping, mods can lock the thread; just wanted to let you know.

I was wondering if someone still has the demo for The Story of Joijo? The demo link is dead now. Thank you!

I'd love to see the old ZX Spectrum games by Fergus McNeill, such as Robin of Sherlock, Quest for the Holy Joystick, the Big Sleaze, etc. remade in the style of 1990s point & clicks:

General Discussion / Re: RIP Ghost

Wow, I saw this thread only now, so sorry for bumping it. We were not close friends with Ghost, but I've been a huge fan of his games (especially Once Upon A Crime), and we chatted in private a bit back in the old years, so it's a real pity to hear that.

May you be happy on the other side, Ghost...

I've been thinking about it a lot when I watched Sonic X. I loved the spy/detective storyline involving Mr. Stewart, and I thought that a Sonic adventure could be less about action and more about mystery. Perhaps an adult Christopher being psychoanalyzed about his childhood fantasies which turn out to not be fantasies at all, like the Christopher Robin movie?

On a side note: there were plenty of Monkey Island/Sonic crossover comics back in the early 2000s (some of them were at monkeymug.com), and also, there is a fan remake of MI2 which has a Sonic-style ending (and also a Scooby-Doo style ending  ):

Welcome back, Snake!  I absolutely loved the idea of Leitor's Edge back then (and still do) because its concept reminds me of those Choose Your Own Adventure books from my childhood. Are you considering it abandoned, or are you still hoping to finish it someday?

Ghost, I'm also wishing you the best with your health; I'm sorry I didn't say so right away, I saw your latest posts only now. How are you?

Hello, I have some interesting news: a while ago Sebel from the Secret of Mount Monkey project stated that he would be interested in reviving the project; you can check out some details here:

https://www.maniac-mansion-mania.de/forum/index.php?topic=2619

A few days ago, he confirmed that he's restarting the project, but he would need to update the old game source code to the newest version of AGS; I was curious if there is any software tool that can do this automatically, or one can only do this manually?

Thanks in advance!

Perhaps anyone happens to have the demo of A Night at Camp Ravenwood? The link at Screen 7 website is now dead, and I cannot find it elsewhere on the Net.

Sorry for bumping up an old thread, but I would like to say the following. Several years ago I volunteered to beta-test the first chapter of the game; unfortunately I haven't been able to contact Electroshokker (he didn't reply to my email), so now I've put up the demo on Internet Archive:

https://archive.org/details/PTLYDemo01

P. S. Electroshokker, if you're still working on it, and you want it to be secret for now, please contact me, and I'll take it down.

Wow, I'm absolutely elated to see this revived! Being the digital hoarder and virtual necrophile I am, I remember this game in great detail. I love it that you switched to retro style, especially that second screenshot with the aliens. Some things I was curious about:

1) Given that the main character is a mental patient, will there be "unreliable narrator" elements? For example, visual hallucinations (or could it be that the aliens themselves are a hallucination  ;) )?
2) I also remember Once Upon A Crime 2; have you considered reviving that one as well, or is it 100% dead?

Hi, I've just seen this petition for the revival of Daedalic's abandoned project "The Devil's Men":

https://www.change.org/p/daedalic-entertainment-revive-the-devil-s-men

I really loved its plot premise, especially the mix of historical and occult/fantastic elements, and the idea of multipath walkthrough with branching storylines, so I'm definitely signing that one.

I looked through my older files and found some more stuff Mats Berglinn sent to me on his fangame A Tentacle Hero, put it together in Internet Archive:

https://archive.org/details/ATentacleHero

Also, he sent me some sketches of his MI fangame Death-controller of Monkey Island, based on his eponymous fanfic; put it up as well:

https://archive.org/details/DeathControllerOfMonkeyIsland

Also, I put up Duke Stalker, an unfinished 2003 game by Nixxon (IbeX):

https://archive.org/details/DukeStalker

and a state-of-art version of Search for Sanity, an unfinished game project by Funky Duck Productions:

https://archive.org/details/Search_for_Sanity

Yeah, I'm a digital hoarder extraordinaire, I know that  ;)

I'm looking for the demoversion of Story of Joijo; the link died some time ago, and I cannot find it on my PC either.
#19
Well, the story "skeleton" was done by Mats, though there are some of my ideas regarding plot details and puzzles.

About 10 years ago, me and Mats Berglinn were working together on a DOTT fansequel called A Tentacle Hero: Mats was to do the graphic side, and plot and puzzles were our collective work. Instead of Chron-O-Johns, it was to involve teleporters which look like phone booths; unfortunately I haven't been able to contact Mats since 2008, but I hope he doesn't mind me sharing this, and I really don't want it to go to waste, so... here is the script.
