Hi everyone, I wanted to ask you whether anyone happens to still have the materials (graphics, etc.) from the old website http://2dadventure.com. I know that a Wayback copy exists, but not all the stuff was preserved there. Thanks in advance!

I really wish someone made a remake of MI2 (my favourite game) in CMI style...

Yep, this is from Tenebrous in Torin's Passage

By the way, regarding these five criminal characters... I've always thought it would be great to have a team comprised of drastically different adventure game villains, similarly to supervillain teams in comics (for instance, LeChuck, detective Ryan O'Riley from Laura Bow, and Fluffy from Toonstruck), and watch how they get along with each other. For instance, Fluffy could get a place at LeChuck's Carnival of the Damned, alongside Dinghy Dog and Wharf Rat. Or some dialogues could take place between them, like:

O'Riley: You know, my beloved no longer loved me, so I killed her.
LeChuck: I also tried to kill mine, so that she could begin loving me.

IMO, would have been great to use characters from some of the coolest abandoned AGS projects to give these projects some sort of "afterlife" (the same kind you gave to Thalia James).

How about a Scooby-Doo/Kafka crossover? It can be a game in the style of the SEGA Scooby-Doo mystery (i. e. with the main character chasing after a ghost or a monster), but with trails that lead nowhere. You would find lots of red herring clues and meet many unhelpful characters/suspects, and the investigation would eventually stop.

Woooooooooooooooooow, I'll finally get to play it! I wish we could one day see Zak McKracken and the Alien Rockstars...

These new shots look absolutely awesome!

By the way, it just popped into my mind: is the "Black Sun" based on this?

I loved those games! But I thought it would have been even more awesome if you did a similar-style game based on some other cartoon series, like Bonkers or Darkwing Duck.

That's amazing!

Will the twist ending be exactly the same, or somehow altered?

Reality-on-the-Norm / Old RON forum materials?
Thu 01/01/2015 13:27:22
Hi, just wanted to ask whether the old RON forums are still available in one form or another. There were lots of interesting materials (plot ideas, concept art, etc.), but everything was lost when RON forums relocated to AGS.

Wayback doesn't have them (it doesn't work well with forums).

Great, this seems to be the first Lovecraftian AGS adventure

There's another great Kickstarter project I wanted to share with you. It is very heavily inspired by the LucasArts classics and includes a lot of references to them. It is based on a cult Portuguese comic, and the storyline is set in Lisbon. It involves a werewolf private detective, his demon assistant, a talking gargoyle head and a young pizza boy solving all sorts of mysteries. The plot premise is this:

In ages past, Lisbon was the stage of great power struggles, a powerful capital and a strategic point that separated the Old Continent from the vast ocean that lead into the New World. Nowadays things haven't changed that much. What looks like a normal city extends its webs of mystery like an iceberg, deep beneath its surface. For the supernatural beings of this planet, Lisbon is the new Casablanca, a terrain that belongs to no one, where the hidden politics of an unseen world are at play and normal folks stress to build a life among all the forces in conflict. It is an asylum for the disenfranchised hordes of vampires, goblins and other such creatures but, like any other place like it, it's also harrased by the interest of different political agendas, secret societies and organized crime. In Lisbon, every shadow has eyes and every eye is witness to a new mystery.

Well, I would say... I dunno how possible this would be, but DOTT was initially envisioned as a game with Maniac Mansion-type gameplay (i.e. choice of player characters, different endings and different puzzles for each of the characters), there were three additional characters that were later dropped (a poet named Chester, a hippie girl Moonglow, and Razor from the original MM). If you could implement this, that would be absolutely great!

A fan was giving Ron shit on Twitter a while back because he wasn't making Monkey 3a, and told him to get off his butt and do it. Ron replied "Screw you! I'm happy doing what I'm doing!", and I think Ron was right, and I think that applies to all of these guys.

I kinda understand that fan  Yeah, Ron has the right to do whatever he does (like DeathSpank or Cave), but then why all that teasing about MI3a (I would also be interested to have a look at Bob and Fletcher Go Deep in the Congo)?

After Brandon Boyer, a video game journalist/developer, was diagnosed with cancer, a new Humble Bundle of about 30 indie games was launched to support his medical treatment.
