I disagree, an isometric perspective might just be what he's going for. It also avoids scaling issues.

The coloring could be a little more interesting, not sure how though. The water could use some effects, like blurring, ripples, or stuff floating around. Not too much, just to accentuate it, I didn't see straightaway, that I was looking at a reflection.

Well, I agree, the question could easily have been less vague.

Hadn't thought of that. I think it's positive, though!

The issue will be available for legal download in half a year, U checked out the site.
PDF download area (nothing for us there yet)

No comments, just some praise. I really like those jeans, they seem very real!

Even: Well, I guess my comment was something of an attempt to deflate a possible DANGEROUS situation with FATAL consequences.

But, ofcourse, you were trying to make a good point (rather effectively, I think). Concerning your point, I'm not sure where I stand. I'm not really bothered by trivial threads. Perhaps you shouldn't post in these to start with, but I'm sure that won't work. I guess I don't know, I just post here.

On topic:

I think a gal could be interesting. Make her wimpy and girly and give her an arc in your game, where at the end she's kind of tough as nails. I'm thinking along the lines of Sarah Connor (Terminator) or Ellen Ripley (Alien).

Do any of the Dutch AGSers (n3t?) know if it's available here? Can't say I've ever heard of it.

Had a taste of REAL ULTIMATE POWER and have a craving for more?

Check this out: http://brianx.com/realultimatepower.html
Some Brian has been good enough to make a comprehensive list of all sites that parody the Official Ninja Website.

MachineElf (TAFKAV), are you making fun of Nellie?

And AGA is right, Revolution is of Broken Sword fame, shame on you for not knowing!

Thanks for pointing this out! My life finally has meaning.

Cool quote:
Q: I heard that ninjas are always cruel or mean.  What's their problem?
A: Whoever told you that is a total liar.  Just like other mammals, ninjas can be mean OR totally awesome.

SWEET!

1) The amount of research that went into the story. It gave it a basis of realism which drew me into the game.

4) I like Gabriel, because he's just cool. Switching between two characters however, leaves very interesting ways open to develop your story.

5) I liked investigating the locations of suspected evil/villainy. It gives it an exciting edge to not know if where you are is in fact a dangerous/safe place to wander. (This in contrast to the humongous evil underground laboratory underneath the gigantic black castle with pointy spires and looming gargoyles.)

8) I liked the sympathetic 'leader' of the werewolves in GK2. Much like the above point 5, you weren't quite sure what his agenda was and whose side he was on.

I PLEAD you to use my comments at 5 and 8 when you're designing your game and writing your story!!!

Then forget what I said. I agree with fidodido on the carpet. Your room uses two seperate single point perspectives. That's what's causing the problem.

Wow, looks pretty good.

- I'd say change the font on 'SEH'. It's too generic.
- The shadow on the right, originating from the lamp on the left, seems wrong. It's straight right now, yet the right side should be more to the back along the wall. I hop that made sense. Maybe someone else can explain it better.

I'm playing Rode Quest 2 right now, that's pretty cool.
But seriously, I went on vacation, in the past week I had a BBQ with some friends, went to a night club with other friends, went to bars, went to the beach, went to the movies, tried some AGS games, worked on my own game some, visited an old friend in his new house.
(Lots of fun, still depressed. It happens.)

I spend time on the Internet, I admit, but I'm not an addict.

What I'm trying to say is, I'm not looking for direct advice i.e. you telling me what I should do.
I was wondering what all you guys do in similar situations.

Nice, it has very warm colours and brings fuzzy feelings to my heart.

Now to bludgen it to a bloody pulp:
- The view needs more. I'm thinking clouds or additional buildings.
- The shelf for the plant is off-perspective. Not necessarily bad.
- The stack of stuff behind the right chair is composed of undefinable crap.
- The chairs look too 'line-tooly'.
- The pen could use more detail. It could also be a cigar if it weren't for the notebook.

And not to leave you crying, I'll end on a more positive note:
It has very warm colours and brings fuzzy feelings to my heart.

Often I simply lurk around the gen-gen forum, I hardly participate in any of the discussions. I've noticed people use it to deal with problems they're going through.
It's a wonderful medium for that, I guess. It grants you a degree of anonimity, yet can be a source for great compassion and understanding. There are some fine people here.

I'd hate to add to the ranks of the slightly more depressive threads of this forum, but I'm still gonna.
I've not really felt good for the last nine months. I won't go in to the source of my problems, suffice it to say it's the L-word. [Don't pass on the opportunity to make a witty remark to this.]

Rather, I'd ask you for some constructive thoughts. I've picked up some bad habits in these months, attempts in vain for diversion and clearing my mind. One positive habit has been to buy and download insane (at least for me) amounts of music. Music helps get my mind off of things and more than often, the lyrics can be a source of wisdom. Still, my thoughts wander back, I get depressed and on nights like this, I can't get much sleep.

Back on track, what I'm asking are things along the line of me downloading music. What do you do when you get depressed? What helps you through tough times in life?

I sense the possibility for an ultimately very positive thread, so don't be shy. ;)

You scratch my back, I scratch yours.
So I like evil's Visual Eye.

StareWare is good too. It's humorous so that has to be a property (i.e. the name being humorous) you're looking for.
