How many times have you seen a game in production and said WOW! That goes in my watch list?  Six months later......Nothing!!!  Is it dead? Who knows

I want to start a thread of all games being actively produced at this moment.  Preferably, annoucements no one's heard from in a while.  No screenshots, just the title, (people know what they're waiting for); general completion level, (no one cares how many GUI's are finished); and the projected street date.

I'll start,

"Rogue Saga/ 25% complete/ Late Summer"

Don't leave anyone in the dark -- If you're game is dead, no need to respond unless you're so inclined.  If this thread is successfull, we can assume your game is dead simply by not seeing it here.

AGS Games in Production / Rogue Saga

I'm generally a private person, and I wasn't even going to post my game untill it was finished.  However, these forums have helped me incredibly, and I love being part of the AGS community.

The game is called Rogue Saga.  It is scheduled for summer.  The best way to describe it is American Fantasy.   The story is this...................

The frost comes early to the Northern Lands.  The people of the mountains came down into the Borderlands in search of food.  When the farmers had no resources to share,  they killed for it.  The migrants actions were so hideous, their forms became twisted untill their bodies reflected their nature.  You play Shepard, a templar in the capital city.  Your brother is fighting in the borderlands.  The army has requested more aid, and the templars decide to send someone to determine the situation.  You were not chosen, but, of course, you have to go.........

That's where it starts.  You must find a way to replace the templar who's leaving because you're worried about your brother.

I've been working with computer art a lot recently, and I hear this term occasionally.  What is it.

How do I show the point where my Icon functions with a hotspot on the screen.  Old games used to do it, and the King's Quest remakes managed it.

The point doesn't appear until the player selects it.

This may sound silly, but I believe it counts as a beginner's technical question.

How do I add an Avatar image?

I see the Http:/  Does this mean I have to load my image somewhere to use it?

I had a question earlier about having different amounts of the same item (7 coins for example) that was answered beautifully.

However, I'm not sure how to display the amount to the player

Option 1: Coin x "value" reads beside the item in the inv screen.

Option 2: "clicking" on the coin in the inv screen displays the value in a text box.

How do give and take multiples of the same item.

EX:  Coin x 7

(7 coins in inv.)

Beginners' Technical Questions / Map Screen?

How do I create a map screen.  Let me explain the problem.

I need  players to be able to access a particular room.  I can get the players to this "room" at any time, but how do I allow players to return to the room they were in previously if they want to go back.

Example:  1st Gabriel knight map screen........The back button allowed players to return to the screen they were just at if they didn't want to leave.

How do I do THAT?

How do I set the game so that when a character enters the room, there is a small phrase of text that appears.

Example:  You start the game; see the first room; text appears exclaiming "You have a headache"  & with a mouse click the text is gone and you begin the game

Is there a way to move the main text GUI to the bottom of the screen?  I can't seem to do this even if I create my own.

I'm trying to create a new GUI for my text window.  Every time I test the game, the GUI is surrounded by blue cups.  I have added images, colours, removed images, colours; still blue cups encircle the GUI.  Where and HOW can I fix this?

Does anyone know where I can find the "points ping" sound effect Sierra used in EVERY one of their games to tell players they'd done something right?

To the Webmaster:

I think the FREE 2D paint program "Pixia" should be included in the AGS links page.  This is best program for ripping textures, and has a good layering system surrounding a strong art program.  I think Pixia's inclusion would help new developers who aren't sure what is available or don't have the resources to purchase an expensive program.

Does anyone know where I can find old Sierra style sound effects, ie: point pings etc.

Something like Quest Studios offers for music, is there a website with classic sound effects.
