Actually, I remember what I wanted to add; Las had been wondering about the similarities between SoS and Eva; as underdogs labels SoS as being made in 1992 (Eva having come out in 1995), it seems rather odd.  Well, in case he hadn't worked it out for himself yet, and in the unlikely event that anyone still cares, I can say that I'm pretty much 100% certain that underdogs merely got the year wrong; besides the fact that there are plenty of references to anime besides Eva in there (for example, the three girls who's names I forget but are always together are quite blatantly based upon the three main characters of Rayearth, and I've heard that there's references to the likes of Tenchi in there, too), I spotted something which couldn't possibly have occured by coincidence, and was clearly an Eva referency-thing.

There is a calender in Ruri's room that has a picture of Rei Ayanami in bandages. OMG!

I figured it out -- Anno knows MrColossal and together they TIME TRAVEL!!!

Or underdogs got it wrong.

In any case, I can finally play SoS again, and that's all that matters to me.

Hehe, I remember the Bloom incident.

It's funny cause Bloom looks more of a gay icon than McKellen.

Kinda like the way Matt Damon was a gay icon.
#1743
McKellen is openly gay.

He also played James Whale, the director of Frankenstein, in the film Gods and Monsters -- Whale was gay too.

Jackhammer,

It's not that he couldn't read it.

It's just that he couldn't find a coherent argument.

You can be a B+ in English without making a great deal of sense, y'know.

For example, here is my argument on why puppies should rule the world:

"I believe puppies make better world leaders and control the world's resources in better ways because they are cute, soft, and cuddly."

You'll notice the above line has correct spelling, punctuation, grammar, is written in active voice, and is all in present tense.

But the argument doesn't make much sense, does it?

Oh fine -- I like Ellen Degeneres too.

Give me Dory or give me death!

Plus, she hosts a pretty sweet Emmy Awards ceremony too.

So there, you Nazi!

Same problem happens to me.

Unless there's some way to reconfigure DOSBox so it work with SoS.

Edit: Oh wait, checked their forums -- it seems their latest CVS can run Sakura. YAY!

For me, the question is not whether someone is gay or straight.

It's whether they're a moron or not.

For example, Ian McKellen is a cool gay guy, just like the late John Geilgud, the late Freddie Mercury, and Michael Stipe.

Rose O'Donnell, on the other hand, is an attention-seeking, agenda-pushing moron.

What is a Photoshop Phriday?

Photoshopping isn't drawing a completely new image -- It's editing images to create a new image, such as editing one image or combining several images.

Also, you don't have to specifically use Photoshop -- Paint Shop Pro, MSPaint, or any other programs can be used.

See this link:
http://www.somethingawful.com/photoshop/

And for other examples, see here:
http://www.worth1000.com/

The two above websites should give a fair idea of what is involved.

Also, make sure your image doesn't exceed the width of the screen -- If it does, I will delete it.

-------------------------------------

What do I have to do?

This week's Photoshop Phriday is: "I should run Photoshop Phriday because..."

I'm hanging up my spurs.

But I'm going to pass Photoshop Phriday on to someone else.

But not just ANYONE.

The person will have to be a SUPER NINJA MASTER BASTARD photoshopper.

Remember that episode of The Simpsons where Grandpa inherits a lot of money from his dead girlfriend and he asks each person in town why he should give the money to them?

That's what this is like.

So, for my final Photoshop Phriday, you'll need to create an image that explains to me why I should give this competition to you.

I'll be judging based upon quality of image and whether your reason is good enough.

Th image should speak for itself, so the less text, the better.

The winners will recieve this competition to mould in any way they want plus the chance to become a moderator for the competitions and activities forum.

The competition will end in one week.

Eidt: Also, the winner can decide whether they want it to run  like the Sprite Jams or just to have themselves facilitate it each week like I did -- It's up to the winner.

QuoteBut perhaps my English is too broken, my mastery of the arts of verbatum sorely lacking when it comes to the logorrhea of sophistries that is demanded by lucid debate.

HAHAHAHAHA -- PWNED!!!  ;D

Could you please shut up about who you nominated -- people are still voting!

I prefered the gay subtext.  ;D

My understanding is that "faggot" never meant "a bundle of sticks" but in fact meant "a bundle of firewood."  The connection comes from the early inquisition, where gay men would be burned alive as "firewood" for witches.  This is why the Nazis repopularized the term when they sent gays and lesbians into the concentration camps.

Cause, you know, there's a hell of a lot of difference between a bundle of sticks and a bundle of firewood.

It's like I'm comparing apples to battleships -- what an idiot I am!

I hope this teaches all modern-day witch burners not to use sticks to cook old hags.

(Side note: it actually means "a bundle of sticks for firewood", so we're both right)

It's a wonderful thing when high school students register here just to tell us it's their birthday.

I'm surprised it doesn't happen here more often.

Grim Fandango and Seasons of Sakura tie for my favourite game.
Which reminds me, DG; I just managed to get SoS running in XP last week.

...

I'm sure that I had something to add to that, but it's gone.

Maybe you have forgotten to add the instructions on how you get it running so that I can play it too?  ;D

You're full of lies, Andail!!

Next you'll be telling us some other bullshit story about how the word 'faggot' used to mean something wacked out, like a bundle of sticks or something!!

As if we're stupid enough to believe that!!

;D
