Now that I think about it, one of my most memorable childhood memories was watching my mother play (and finish) LSL!

Hmmm...

I have a very warped mother!

Some of the best playable characters in games are women -- Zanthia from Legend of Kyrandia 2, Sophia from Indiana Jones: FoA, Grace from GK3, Laverne from Day of the Tentacle (my favourite)...
That's true but I find that games still lack female characters, for example, most of the games I downloaded from the AGS site have the male hero character type. I don't really mind that the main character is a man, the games are still really fun to play (Don't get me wrong I'm not a feminist or anything! lol!). I hope my game will inspire people to create their own cool main female character. But anyways, I'm rambling on, it's time for me to work on that game, there's a lot of work to be done.

I once had an idea for a detective game about a woman who based her whole life on Sherlock Holmes stories.

And she even had a bumbling Watson-like assistant as her junior assistant.

Somehow, he'd always get into trouble when they'd investigate a case and she'd always have to get him out of trouble.

I'd like to see role-reversal thing where it's not the woman who's been captured and tied to the train tracks, but the man who is and the girl has to go save him, solve the case, and get back home for tea and scones.

1. The main character is a woman.
2. There's a lot of romantic cheezy parts.
3. A lot of cutscenes.
4. No dying allowed.
5. Kind-of-erotic at some point.

Will my game still appeal to the male audience?

2. I dig love stories -- not the Mill and Boon type, but I like love stories in movies like Leaving Las Vegas -- Stuff that shows love is an actually relationship between two people rather than a fluffy flowers and hearts type deal. For my favourite example of a love story game, play Seasons of Sakura (yeap, mentioned it again). Also see, GK3 for a good example.

3. Cutscenes are important to games. Just make sure there's a healthy balance between cutscenes and interactivity.

4. My favourite games are the ones where you don't die, such as most of the LucasArts games.

5. Nothing wrong with erotic -- see this post:

I'm sorry, Helm, but I thought that scene where he fingered her anus was unconvincing and reeked of insincerity -- they just didn't seem to lose themselves in the moment!

LOL quite ... but then, you have to have special talents as an actor to end up in the porn industry  ;)

That's a valid point -- You've changed my mind completely and now I agree with Helm.

I give the film THREE THUMBS UP!

No way, I clearly remember Charles in Charge -- it was a neo-funk metal band in the late 80s that was lead by Peter O'Toole!

(This is getting old, isn't it?)

So, anyone seen the Matrix?

You fools!

"Boston Lowe" is the sitcom that starred Ray Liotta!!!

Just cut the leet garbage!

Just to prove so, I'll make one!

I ran a quick scan and look what I found:

Here's an interesting question to bing up:

Do you think Doom (and Duke3d, Quake and all the Doom clones) killed shareware?

I ask because you hardly see any shareware worth downloading these days.

I remember the fond days of Apogee and Epic Megagames -- Now, they're more commercial companies rather than shareware.

What do you think?

I don't know about everyone else's opinion on this, but here's mine:

Any concert that gives a prize to a schoolgirl lesbian act is DEFINATELY worth watching!

WHAT'S WRONG WITH CARDCA... I mean, no I haven't watched it!

Why can't those fuckers leave anime alone?

I even heard they were going to a Sailor Moon movie with Sarah Michelle Geller.

The worst part is, she might get the producers to cast Freddie Prinze Jr as Tuxedo Mask.

* DGMacphee looks around.

What??

What's wrong with watching Sailor Moon?

It's good stuff, especially if you're toasted on bucket bongs.

Quote"Debbie Does Dallas" is porn

How dare you? A masterpiece in the vein of 'Der Golem' and mid-century german expressionism reduced to being called porn? GAMUTLOBSTER!
