As for everyone else, I know this is going to be difficult for you, but try ignoring poop. Whenever he starts a new topic or writes a new reply, just forget about him. He's just a stupid kid who knows nothing. No one takes him seriously anyway and the only reason he keep coming back is because everyone is getting pissy at him. The mods are on a constant poop-watch for problem threads, so don't add fuel to the fire by giving a jerk attention.

From what I can tell, the service pack 2's main updates really only add security features that Firefox already has.

First I wanted to say, DG does that have to do something with the thing Yahtzee said eons ago. Then i remembered that it was really so much before. Even before the last awards.
And then I also saw the conversation evolve.

I wish people could forget about this. Espcially when no one asked about "the thing Yahtzee said eons ago". I'd prefer the can of worms to stay shut. Besides, I've made my peace with Yahtzee. I overreacted. Hopefully, he's forgiven me.

As for the subtle manner over resignation, don't be surprised. It's nothing amazing. It's more a non-issue. I'd prefer someone else just take over the awards rather than people make noise about it.

And whatever the deal is with the Awards leading to professional companies, yes that's good, but keep in mind the whole reason I started it was to have a bit of fun. For everyone. Don't take the Awards seriously. They're just some entertainment.

I'll settle this once and for all. Neither AGS nor Wintermute is the best adventure engine in the world. They're both terrible, user-unfriendly and overrated. Plus, I heard Chris Jones is a smack addict and Jan Nedoma eats babies and puppies for breakfast. How can anyone trust them and their putrid adventure engines?
