Oooh, adventures about TV series! We urgently need this!

how about the A-Team adventure game. where you get to play all the characters to do different tasks. BA is the strong one and needed for all the heavy tasks, Face always is clever and wears disguises so he is always sent in to get information , murdoc will be the one to fly things and hannibal just stands around, shoots his gun and says "i love it when a plan comes together" hehee ( well. maybe hannibal can have a better role) At the start of the game face needs to break out of the mental institution. At some point when you need to fly you need to give BA a knock out drug before getting too close to the airport or whereever the plane is. otherwise he gets angry and you have to take him somewhere else to make him forget all about it. then you have to try again. And lets never forget that at the end they need to build some big thing out of junk parts.

the dirt on the tires is just a texture. I dont have the luxury when it comes to render time to have modeled dirt on my tires

SteveMcCrea the dampeners dont take springs in a leaf spring samurai

as for the stearing rack there is one. its just that those chassis shots were very early in the process. Took me a while to find a decent reference shot of an undermounted leafspring setup.

for those who didnt like the vinyls here were some earlier test renders

she does look tomboyish but i think thats how the character should look. to make a biiit more of a distinction that she is a woman though maybe a little more shading on her breasts. i kinda agree that the spoon from the story i read online sounded smaller however this is kinda cool having it as a huge spoon like a staff or power or something.  id love to see an update on the mother.

thanks for all the comments and crits. im trying to redo some of the things as per your sugestions.

@m0ds-- it will be distributed on www.turbosquid.com as a *.max file once im finished with it.

@Buckéthead-- i agree. im trying to get something done about that

@Evil, Steel Drummer, Ali-- yeah. i spent alot more time on the undernieth of the jeep than on top. Getting all the parts to work was the hard part and it will be seen from undernieth more than from above and also seen at night so i can get away with some lack of detail. but ill definately be adding in the wipers

@[lgm]-- ill post a viewport preview anim soon for ya.

@ciborium-- i use the term jeep not as the name "Jeep" but as the type of vehicle it is. its a 4X4 vehicle if thats better for you hehe. It is a suzuki samurai.

why are you compairing two softwares that do totally different things/? you comment that AGS isnt that good a program for programmers to use. For some reason looking in the game section on this website at the couple hundred games made with AGS i beg to differ. however what id like to point out was pointed out in the last past titled very poorly "WTF!!!" . You seem to be trolling in here. just incase you didnt know what he meant by it seeing as how your still doing it, it more or less means that your looking to start fights. A forum for a certain product is usually the home of the products fans. you should know this since its the same for EVERY product. If my as a vray user (its a 3d rendering progran) went into the forum for brazil (another 3d rendering program) and said their product sucks. what do you think the outcome would be. Or goodness forbit an AGS fan went into a gamestudio forum and said the same. noooooo. thats not right. So please. stop trolling, oh and if a topic gets locked it means its over, choose to start a topic about fluffy buny rabbits the next time. Dont pick up where the last one left off. This topic specifically directed towards scotch should have been sent as a PM and not as a post on the forum.

No, I would not play it. The genre you are referring to is Space Sim, not adventure game. If you're looking for an audience, you probably won't find it here.

i wouldnt say thats a fair comment to make. just because you dont like that genre and wont play that game doesnt mean everyone on this forum is here because they love adventure games ONLY. Postmodern boy has already proven your comment wrong by saying he would like to play it.

took me 2 months to finish this but here you are. everything is modeled on the jeep to work so undernieth is all the suspension and transfer shafts and the jeep is setup with a physics engine to be able to drive itself. Let me know what you think

if we are not talking about 1st AGS game then my 1st 1st 1st game was a text parsed game for the C64 called Evil Mansion. Then with the birth of C128 i started making graphics games since they included a sprite editor.

i think i started asterix last summer

write a function that calls a specific file and line and inputs it into a message. that way your txt file can be in french, english, romanian, and inplace of Display("message"); you can have the txt file. DisplayTranslation("5"); with 5 being the line in the txt file. this was the txt file can be distributed with the game and the translator just writes over whatever language was previously there (with a backup naturally). Only think i cant think of is how to change a dialog option text but im sure there might be some form of code for that

my game uses 640x480 and the quality blown up full screen on my monitors is still good. alot ofmy backgrounds are larger than the 640x480 to give me my scrolling rooms. I havent noticed and slow performance or anything

mech battles on a turn based situation like front mission3 (which i loved) or as a 1st person shooter (i cant remember the game) or as a 3d fighting game (which i also cant remember the game) each of them were rpg style. my favorite though (obviously since i didnt bother remembering the names of the others) was front mission 3 for PS1. kinda because i play D&D and during fight scenes we use the battle grid
