Those two years just flew by, didn't they?  ;)

I've just cleaned up the lineart and made a quick shading test on a small part of the BG.

Here's a sneak preview:

Of course, those black lines will be gone in the finished version. I wish I could say the same for the current crappyness of my shading.

So, if something looks good because some time was spent on it, it's actually bad?

- Banjo
- Fiddle
- Honky-tonk piano
- Blown bottle
- Whistle

For the above, I recommend Edirol's Virtual Sond Canvas

- Distortion guitar

Slayer 2 as an VST instrument
Guitar Rig 2 as an virtual amplifier for your own guitar playing

Also, two good places to start searching for free soundfonts and VSTi:

The main problem with Pandora is it doesn't know what you like about the piece of music it plays. So it plays you another song based on their database information and it is ordinarily a song you don't even like.

This is a midi and you should keep that in mind when giving critics for it. Also, I beileve Guybrush wanted advice about the music he wrote, not about medium he used to present it to us.

Anyway. Great sounding tune Guybrush, you have improved. Here's some advice:

The intro sounds pretty good, but try making strings so they fade in softly. You could also pan them to the left channel since the synth fade-ins are panned to the right. Also, you could try to make the strings sliding between chords in some places to gain some more variation.

The 1st solo (starting at 1:23) sounds a bit generic - vibrato on a note, up a scale, down a scale, repeat. There are some good breaks in it, though.

I like the 2nd solo much better. IMO, it sounds far more emotive than the first one. You could add some faster played notes here to break it up a bit, but only a few.

Also, I like the 1st version more so that's the one I gave critics for.

Here's a quick paintover. Used to help you improve shading:

1. The main green line represents the middle of your light. The Lines with arrows coming from them are to show you light (and light reflected from the ground) hitting the surfaces.

2. The red surfaces are the one that are hit by light and that shouldn't be shaded. The blue surfaces are those that reflected light cannot hit because those shelves are in it's way.

3. This is the actual paintover. I've also made the shading a bit darker and made outlines the same color.

Why? He said he has a problem shading it.

Uku, I'm guessing the only lightsource comes from the hole at the top of the cave. If that is correct then most of your shadows are at the wrong place. For example, look at those two shaded pillars (let's call them that) surrounding the left shelves. The upper one has the lightsource in front of it and yet it's front is shaded.

QuoteJkciR... hmm, nah, get something more original, I think we have enough people from Croatia as it is. (No offence)
"No offence" doesn't cut it. Think of the Croatians that have nothing to do with this thread. How are they to interpret this? I personally don't give that much of a flying .... .

Besides LJUBI aren't even from Croatia but not really important it's offensive if you use any country.

As for canceling the worst noob category, I agree with it. How is that motivating them to improve?

To LJUBI: nobody hates you on this forums. Stay, finish the game and be a part of the community.  :)

So, you're saying that it's a coincidence your forum nickname is made out of their names, Dule and Lena?

And the fact that you like 2Pac just like they do?

And your Email having a part of it called suncokretic (sunflower), so you probably live in (or near) Balcan?

Welcome back!  ;D

Oh, I thought he dropped his paddle and trying to reach it in the 2nd cell and then getting hit by the skull in 3rd. Now it makes much more sense.

Anyway, I like how you used the sprites from the game and can't wait to see what you'll come up with next.

Also, I don't mind the cursing that much, but it just doesn't feel as something Guybrush would say.

You can check out the Cats Pawn. Also, check out the instructions on how to use it. You can make your own or just use both hands to simulate it.

Then you have something not so closely connected with CTS, but it also helps, the fingerweights.

And lastly, check out some stretches.

Isn't christianity against prejudices? Prejudices like all non christians being immoral, for example.

You are lucky your God is forgiving.  ;)

Quote"By Jack Thompson" is a bit misleading, but... well... feh.
Just going along with their joke.  :)

From Thompsonsoft site:
QuoteName: Jack Thompson
Website: VG Cats

First Video Game-Related Kill: His career

If you don't know who Jack Thompson is, click here.

Well, a small group of people who call themselves Thompsonsoft finally made his game. Throughout the game you'll be shooting or beating up enemies who's heads will explode before they die. Or they'll start vomiting blood and then their heads will explode. It is also has a few bonus games and one of them starts with the words: "Let's get ready to pee on those brains!"

The best thing is, it's completely made by the idea of the crazy lawyer.

The game's site is here:

and the backup site, ATM can be located here:

Quote50 X 150 pixels, 16 colours (17 counting the background one...) IT's in my first post man!
Silly me, I thought that were the dimensions and colors used in your example.

QuoteAetheism is in because it's cool not being "told what to do." I mean, honestly, what Godless person has morals? They just do whatever gives them the most pleasure. Right?

Aetheists are trying to destroy Christianity, yet Christians are trying to destroy aetheism. They're efforts together only result in long ass threads that end up no-where.
Is this sarcasm?
