QuoteThere may come a day, that you will be asked to do some sound designing.
There may come a day, that you will be asked to write music to describe something very specific.

This is one of these days...

There are two ways to go here. The sound designing way and the musical way.
So I'm guessing it can be both.

I agree with adding background instruments, but I would rather have a go with a string ensemble or something. Untill the song progresses to the point when you think bass and drums should be added.

As for GP5, it's ok for trash metal and it has a nice acoustic guitar engine, but the percussions are a real dissapointment. I was hoping to see (hear) a brush kit atleast.

Merry Christmas AGSers.

Well, bands are mostly making music in a same room, but you guys live in two different countries. This makes your album a but different than the most. I beileve that's what Edmundo ment.

And happy birthday Petteri.

Oh no, oh no, oh no. I have somehow misplaced my UT CD and can't seem to find it anywhere. Untill I get UT again somehow, I'm only able to play Q2 or ET.

Damn.

QuoteOne thing I wonder... Why are all the songs so short? Not that it's a bad thing at all, but I just wonder if there is any explanation to why you don't make longer songs?
True, but there are 28 tracks and over 50 minutes of music on it.

Anyway, I've downloaded it a few days ago and listened it a couple times now. Great work guys. I can spot your styles mixed in the tracks and it works real well.

Agreed. Also, only original UT maps, so there would be no need to d/l GOTY stuff.
Any fans of the instagib mutator? Tee hee.

Really good work on the atmosphere of this tune, remonds me of Legacy Of Kain soundtrack.

I agree with Setsuna on the high pitched sounds, I suggest making them quieter. The piano is a nice touch, but some notes come in to soon. I would also suggest getting rid of the 'shaman voice', or replacing it with low volume screams, breathing, crying sounds, or whatever would fit the scene better. It seems that your tune is 'broken' into three parts: piano, high pitched sounds, voice. Try making them blend together. I mean adding some piano to the 2nd or 3rd part or something. The tune ends suddenly, which would be ok if it looped but it starts fading in. My last suggestion is to make the tune fade out in the end or even make the ending crossfade with the begining of it.

Sorry for nitpicking. All and all it sounds pretty good.

Welcome back Minimi.

A great sprite you have there. I made a small paintover, hope you don't mind.
Here's what I did:
-added more contrast between different levels of shades,
-added some highlights,
-made darker tones more blue, and highlights more yellow

Color count: 11 colors + transparency. The edit was made in mspaint.

Hope this helps you.

QuoteBest ROCK song ever!
There is no such thing. Like Potch said, there are too many great rock bands and even more great songs.

But a rock song I'm stuck on at the moment:

Lynyrd Skynyrd - Free Bird

Squinky - You could convert the audio tracks on the CD into .ogg or .mp3 format with CDex.

Agreed. The second one almost looks like a 3D render.

EDIT: Whoops, somehow I didn't notice it has to be game stuff.
Great work from the rest of you anyway.
