Not too much to give critisism on yet. Why don't you check out some tutorials, try making some graphics, and finally posting it here.

And yes, the flashing light is pretty irritating.

Very nice BG for a first try.

IMO, the sky's smooth gradient clashes with the rest of the BG, I suggest making it by hand.
Also, instead of using black color for the outlines, you could use the darker shade of the object's color.

Keep practicing.

Thanks for the reply.

The 'lag' was intentional, I thought that was pretty obvious. I guess after hearing it too many times (in the proces of making it), I didn't find it awkward. The problem is, I don't want to remove the 'lag', but have no idea on how to make it sound better.
Any comments?

Don't be so harsh, he may come back as a mature person. Or maybe he's already back under a new username? EDIT: I ment poop.

To get back on topic, one of the friendlier web communities I know is www.ghostplace.com, I remember receving a few welcome PM's after joining in, and the members are pretty patient around newbies.

Quotei've made the background using unrealed, then it was retouched and i've added some elements using paint shop pro.
There's your answer.

The amount of detail on new backgrounds is incredible.
Keep it up man.

Made this MIDI, today, now my ears are bleeding, so I'm going to take a break for a while. In the meantime, any kind of feedback is highly appriciated, so please, reply.

Nice midi, here are some suggestions:
-tone down the drum volume a bit,
-I'm not sure what software you used, but if there is some sort of drum kit selection i suggest you to use drum kit 16, at least try different drumkits to see which one fits you best,
-add some more variation to the percussions, instead of creating one beat, and then adding things to it.

landslidepurist: I have the same problem with my LCD monitor,  run winsetup.exe from game's directory and turn on "Force letterbox mode" that way the game will always be forced to use 320x240 or 640x480 mode.

QuoteAre those lines on the wall cracks or just roots of some kind of plant?
If it's one thing or the other I think they should "start" from the top or the bottom of the wall...
Well, if they are roots of some sort, they could be growing from between the bricks.

The BG looks pretty good, here are some suggestions:

I think that the 'room' should be shaded with darker tones, especially the part part far from the lightsource.
Also, the entrance should look a bit more rough, not like a perfect rectangle.

Keep in mind that I was nitpicking.
