Yep, looks cool.

The little thing that bugs me is that the upper part of his right arm looks a too thin.

Keep it up.

I'd like to add to more paint programes
1: paint (comes with windows)
2: paint it (paint but upgraded)

Where could I find this 'paint it' program?

I like it, clean and simple.

Is the game going to be in simmilar style, or is it going to be colorfull? If it will be colorfull the title screen might not fit the style the game was made in.

Thanks alot Darth for another great edit!

Hope You don't mind if I use it.

EDIT:
Here's something I made out of some character animations (runing, crouching):

I made this to check out how some stuff will look animated, and then decided to post it here instead of just deleting it.

Hey, thanks!

I'm probably going to make it a bit more rusty, beaten and going to add some holes.

Could someone please help me draw a rusty, old barrel?
Up there are some I drew today but when i try to apply rust to the 1st one it just looks real bad.

Oh, and some c&c on the crouching sprite please.

Zor: I don't know about that. The sprite will be really small in the game, and most of the backgrounds will be dark, so I'll look into that once I'm finished with the tech demo.

General Discussion / Re: 3d game engines

I think that 3D game studio handles outdoor scenes pretty well, here's an example:

About the low texture and skin quality, it depends about the texture resolution you're using. If the texture is smaller, it will loose it's quality once it has been streched on the surface.

But I disike the 3DGS because of it's ultra high price and ridiculous limitations if you're using some cheaper versions.

You know Phil, Vel needs more writers for the AGS E-zine.

Check it out >HERE<.

Hey, thanks Lost. I will make something simmilar, but for the enemies. I prefer the main character as he is , except that shotgun...

Try here for map creating tutorials, there is one for the version A6 at the top of the page, and one for version A5 at the bottom of the page:
http://www.conitec.net/a4update.htm

Here are some modeling tutorials:
http://www.swissquake.ch/chumbalum-soft/ms3d/tutorials.html

For creation of models I reccomend using 3rd party modeler, like Milkshape or simmilar, which is easier to use IMO.
Also, 3DGS modeler in version A5 and lower doesn't support bones system which makes animating your models a real pain in the ass.

Whoa! 3 replies in just one minute!

First of all thanks for the feedback.

OSC:
Maybe, but if I make it I'll probably use the game maker.
You see, I don't plan redrawing the whole character for every weapon, instead I plan making him in 2 parts: body and hands. Then when i want to animate ,let's say, a recoil, the main part of character (body) runs, jumps, swims, or whatever while the arms move backwards one pixel. That way i don't need to have a recoil animation for jumping, running, swimming, etc.
I guess that would be kind of hard to do in AGS, since i don't know much about programming.

Ummm, I hope you understood what i wanted to say.

And the same guy, but with different weapons:

Here's one Dream Theater solo I've been trying to play on my guitar, but it's so damn fast and hard to 'rip'.

The tab:
Dream Theater - Erotomania Solo.doc

And here's how it sounds in the song
Dream Theater - Erotomania solo.mid

Btw, this tab wasn't made by me, I downloaded it from mysongbook.

Better, I suggest moving the frame to the center of the wall and adding the window-sill, maybe curtains, etc.
#476
Oh my God, they're multiplying!

Actually, I don't think that this would work in the HaT section because people get stuck on the different places in game, so you really wouldn't know what part has been solved.

Unless the thread names were something like:
Perils of Poom - Need help with the worm in the cave, I end up getting killed *SOLVED*
Then it might work.
#477
Well, this has been discussed before, and there was also the idea to edit the post and change the thread's icon to once it has been solved.

I wish more people would do it.
#478
That is one cool background.

But, yes, kaaZ is right, ditch the black outlines.

Nice CMI cloud(s), by the way.

Hey, not so fast little buddy!
I don't find my entry that good, actually I don't find it good at all.
I guess it is one of those things I made in few minutes and never correct it. Plus it's electronic crap which I am not very fond of.

So my vote goes to RTF!
