Good work!

Maybe you could add a short pause when he reaches for his gun (when the hand is in the coat), and make the gun smoking after firing longer.

EDIT:
Here's what I ment.


-created a pause when he reaches into his coat
-added a recoild when he shoots
-removed the bang letters
-added lighting when he shoots
-animated the smoke

I hope this helps you.

Ok, here are the crits:
1.The top of the door is out of perspective it should be / instead of \.
2.Fix the black outlines
3.Add a light source (or more) then it will be easier to know the position of the shadows.
4.Add the wood texture
5.That's all

This is a very nice background, I like it a lot.

PS. Please use less smilies, they keep staring at me with their dotty little eyes.

That's great!
The arches and shading make me think that it was made in 3d program.
the only critisism I have is that the bush behind the arches looks too flat.

Schubert: I think that are some walkbehind bushes, not grass.

I like the new version.
Just one thing, if the light source is somewhere above the bed then you wouldn't be able to see the bed's legs in the shadow.
Also fix the lightgreen pixels between the top side of the dresser and the wall.

So that's two things.

Looks nice, but as you mentiond in your post a bit empty.

You should remove the black pixels under the door and along the bottom of the right wall.

Very good!

The left foot (her right) should a bit shorter, like the Roger's one.
Her bent arm seems a bit long, try moving her elbow a bit closer to the body.
Fix the fist on the other arm, it looks weird.

I made some tiles using m$paint and came up with this planometric (I think) background.

This is just a test background, i still haven't applied shading and the fence is screwed up. I also included a ninja sprite with the background to try out the walkbehinds and stuff.
The main problem IMO is that it looks empty.

Suggestions?

Try adding some stuff , like walkbehinds at the bottom right of the screen, some shadows, etc., it looks a bit empty.
